Thanks Marie - have just done that (ref #122527). Dave.

This is something we are now currently very interested in. Is this even a distant roapmap item? Dave.
-
Still an issue in NCM v6 - refer Dave.
-
qle, I didn't see your post before - but yes, I have the same issue. I raised a support ticket yesterday with both 8.5.1 and 9.0 screen shots (the issue doesn't occur with 8.5.1). Dave.

We also do a similar activity for the H323 gateway usage on each subscriber (i.e. active calls). This would also be great data to have integrated as part of the IPLSA module. Dave.

Thanks for that update ET. I'll also wait for the fix rather than perform one of these work-arounds. It appears our topology update is 7+ hours - I assume that this is well beyond what would be considered normal. Do you know if there is work in this area as part of this fix? Part of the problem seems to be the huge number…

In my experience, Solarwinds is very customer focused. If it's not high on the priority list, it's not because there is an agenda running. What about thinking outside the square. What about asking Juniper to instigate a partnership type of arrangement with Solarwinds. Juniper as the challenger needs third party support -…

I have opened case #51583 for this. Dave.

OK, after 12 hours of running the VoIP service is now using approx 26meg (about where it started). Looks as if the service pack has resolved this memory leak issue as advertised. Dave.

In a related question - will the Hot-Standby server pick up this setting change? (you can't change it directly on the Hot-standby server). Dave.

Hi g@z, How are you linking to these CBQoS Detail views? I can see the view in Admin/View, but I can't work out how to link to this view from the Netflow Traffic Analysis Summary, or from the Netflow Node Details view. I must be missing something simple here.... Dave.

Our proxy is only used for external access. Just in case I removed the proxy config from the browser and re-ran the tests to compare the NCM intergation module and the NCM web site performance. I couldn't detect any difference. Dave.

I installed NCMv6 and the integration module on the NPM web server - hoping to see some web site performance improvements (at least so it was useable from the NPM menus).Expanding the node list does seem faster, however overall the integration module still feels like molasses on our implementation. If I put the native NCM…

Chris, I would personally like to rank 2 ahead of 1. If we can export to Excel or even a text file. then 1 is possible anyway. The switchport mapping function is one of the last reasons we keep Ciscoworks around, and is a report we utilise very often. I would also like to have the option to select a subnet of devices for…

Sorry Josh, this is high on my priority list but I just haven't had a chance to get back to this. I'll run the wbemtest tool and open a support ticket in the morning. We also use IPMonitor against the same servers that are giving us these timeout issues in APM without any issues - so I would expect that the test tool…

The syslog table contains the origin IP address, and also the hostname (if it can be resolved via DNS). So you could just add a where cause like this: where ip = '192.168.1.1' or where hostname = 'myhost' You can actually view the SQL from Report Writer (if you have a report that you like). This sometimes can be a good way…

In the second maintenance run after the 9.1 install, everything is now normal for us (total elapsed time back to a more normal 25 minutes). Dave.
-
Just upgraded to 8.5.1, and I was also impacted by this issue - thanks for the forum advice! Dave.
-
We use Orion (with APM), but also utilise an instance of ipMonitor (currently purchasing a second ipMonitor licence). These Networks now are also coming under increased data security attention, where snmpv3 is very much required. Can I please add my voice to the call for snmpv3 get support. Dave.

Problem has now been esclated to Tier III supoport - no resolution at this time. Dave.

I have exchanged a number of e-mails with support on this issue. Currently they think it's a timeout related issue (although we receive the error almost instantly). Support also are asking questions around access between the primary and the additional server. I have confirmed with them that I can see the 17605 port open on…

Very glad I read Thwack - installed APM2.0 and ran into this issue. Thanks for the quick fix Josh! Dave.
-
Ok, I'm clear on how things should be working - but as before, when I perform a file activity trace using process monitor (on the additional web server) the actual doesn't match the theory. We have approx 250 maps on this system, and during a 24 second file trace every single map file was opened and closed 6 or 7 times.…

SNMP seems OK with our APM SP3 implementation, but we are having issues with the WMI timeouts. Does anyone else still see this issue? Dave.
-
SolarWinds support confirmed that they are now sourcing the timestamp information from the IPSLA operation rather than the system time that was used in the old VoIP module. Hence this Cisco bug now applies... This is a massive headache for us - we have a large number of core devices that will need upgrading in order to get…
-
Is there a fix for this as yet? With 4000+ nodes, it takes approx 13-14 minutes to open UnDP for us on our production Network (without any custom pollers at this stage). We have a second SLX implementation with only a few hundred nodes (our test/dev environment) and it only takes 5-10 seconds - so I do think it's related…
-
Service pack was applied this evening on our site - should know within a few hours if this resolved our memory issue. A restart for us would have been required every 6-8 hours (we had over 500meg memory growth in the VoIP service within 8 hours). Dave.

Support ticket #113812 raised. We are not at 3.5 each, however the CBQoS data is one of the major features we have been waiting for. However, even with the upcoming Netflow filtering options to reduce flow traffic into the database, we won't be able to enable Netflow on all the interfaces we wish to collect CBQOS data. In…

Case #61873 opened. Dave.

Turns out the NHRP MIB I am using is VRF aware. This changes the MIB results when used in a VRF configuration - something that Orion doesn't support when using UnDP custom pollers. I don't understand why Cisco are implementing VRF aware MIB's in this way - makes it very hard for vendors like Solarwinds to deal with them.…
