  • @"tdilisio" The HTML5 console currently doesn't have an option for editing the Event Distribution Policy. If you still need to make changes to that you can install the SEM Standalone Console on your desktop which will give you access to a version of the old Flash interface.
  • You're either not actually using SEM 2020.2.1 or your web browser has the old HTML5 WebUI cached. Try clearing your browser's cache or doing something like Ctrl-F5 and see if you get the configure menu. If that doesn't help open a support ticket.
  • Hosting the SEM Appliance is not supported on Nutanix. The only supported Hypervisors for the Security Event Manager are Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon AWS. Technical Support is not able to help if you attempt to run the SEM on any other hypervisor beyond what is listed in the system…
  • The WebUI and the VM Console use different credentials. For the VM Management Console you need to be using the `cmc` login: documentation.solarwinds.com/.../log-in-to-the-cmc-command-line.htm
  • The dashboard in the HTML5 Events Console wasn't added until SEM 2019.4, its not available in 6.7.x. If you need access to the dashboard then you will need to upgrade.
  • http://10.1.xx.xxx:8080/sem is not valid for any version of the SEM appliance. The two URLs for the SEM are: http://x.x.x.x:8080/lem/ -> Legacy Flash Console http://x.x.x.x:8080/webui/ -> HTML5 Events Console
  • HTML5 Events Console currently doesn't have an option for showing what is in each event group. I expect it to be added to a future release however I have no idea which one or when that will be.
  • Going from 90% to 3% isn't good. Did you setup ArchiveConfig? You may want to create a support case for one of the SEM techs to take a look at what is going on.
  • So first things first, Solarwinds Patch Manager is a different product than Solarwinds MSP's N-Central Patch Manager, so the article you linked doesn't really apply. Solarwinds Patch Manager does have bandwidth throttling but that really only applies to the bandwidth used by Patch Manager to talk with other PM…
  • The SEM doesn't really have a method of organizing nodes/devices like you are asking. The "user-defined groups" is really meant for use with rules and not a very good way of trying to organize things. You could try putting similar systems into Connector Profile Groups as a way of organizing/
  • The Security Event Manager doesn't have a connector for Comtek /400. You can check the listed of supported connectors here: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/SEM/Content/Connectors/sem-connectors.htm If you need a connect created you can put in a feature request for one:…
  • Do you know what version of the SEM you are using? We didn't introduce the ability to manage SEM connectors via the HTML5 interface until at least version 6.5. You should really consider upgrading to SEM 2020.4 if you're using a version older then that.
  • SEM 6.7's HTML5 console is a preliminary release and doesn't include the ability for historical (nDepth) searching nor does it include the dashboard. If you need to access that functionality you will need to upgrade your virtual appliance to SEM 2020.4 where we've released a full featured HTML5 console.
  • Since LEM 6.4 a preliminary version of the HTML5 Events Console has been available by accessing your appliance using the url https://[HOSTNAME/IP]:8443/webui/. If you are running an older release and need to get in you can use that. Alternatively, you can install the Standalone Air Console. You can download both the Adobe…
