Thanks for the reply. I on;y see the Servicepack1 not the install for 9.1. Unless that is the laest software download.
-
No we have not. I am not a database programmer and do not want to mess up the database. If Soalrwinds support directs me to this then we will do it.
-
Allot of the data is time sensitive data feeds that can not be changed. We have many apps on a any circuit. So it appears netflow will not work either. More like a more expensive product with inline probes is the way to go.
-
We need to upgarde from 9.0 SP1 to 9.1 SP1 Is that a direct upgrde with the latest upgrade file? Or do we need to upgarde to 9.1 first?
-
Any more updates on this? We have disabled the maintenance for now but the SQL still gasp in daat until restarted. We have a case opened with SW and really need to get this fixed ASAP.
-
The problem is our data is time sensitve to the millisecond. If we are over utuilizing the circuit we drop the data since allot of the data is multicast. The 1 minute trend shows the circuit at 180Mbs but a real time shows spikes well over 300Mbs on a 300M circuit. This is a huge problem when we are using Orion to trend…

Is there a way to get Orion to collect the data in shorter intervals?
-
The issue is with a chart when choosing an interface. Also the CPU is not winning at 54% steady and I am tryign to find out why.
-
We just had this issue happen again. Is there a bug fix for this? I dont want ot have to replace the file every month and more importantly losing days of data while the pollers do not work anymore.

I found the 64bit counters box. I will try that this evening.
-
That would work to but the only choice I see is to write to the Windows event log not to the NPM event log.
-
Prefer not to get into the Netflow yet. A better sample rate would correct this issue easier.
-
But it is wrong. It should be bits per second or do not have anything there.
-
Is there anything that monitors at better intervals than 1 minute? The 1 minute trending is a problem for us as the traffic is bursty and a 1 minute average is not even close to what we are hitting. On a 1G port the average is 200M and the bursts are well over 500M - This is a huge difference when trying to manage WAN…
-
I agree in allot of places 5 minutes would be good. Our data is all time sensitive and bursty. We get haunted by microbursts all day. We will have 1G interfaces running at ~100M of bandwidth then a microburst can max the interface for a few seconds then go back to ~100M. Are the 64 bit counters in a certain Version? We are…

The problem we are having is the following. Emerson Computer power covers airconditioner and UPS systems and under Orion it sees both systems as just Emerson adn not as Emerson UPS or Emerson AC. We created universal pollers /charts for the AC units to trend the temp, humidity, cooling capacity and they trend fine on the…

Actually the real slowness is when we bing up the node or interface page. The Top 10 page appears OK.
-
Do you know what it may be? I am still waiting for a response from tech support.
-
Good to know. I can try an upgrade the internal machine this evening and see what happens. Do you just install Framework 3.5 using the install defaults?

Yes.
-
Any news if this has been added to 10.4?
-
Anyone else?
-
Is this due to a change in 9.5? never had this issue until we upgraded last week.
-
We are running SP3. Thwack is not on the summary page. Note: Every page is slow. Even trying to launch the log on page takes forever.

No other modules - Just Orion. Network Elements80 ElementsNodes21 NodesInterfaces56 InterfacesVolumes3 Volumes SQL Express is using almost 1G of memory
-
I think it does not exist since it can show up in the message center.
-
This might help with a style for the NOC to see whats going on. Do not need allot of functionality for what I am looking for. Can you share how you made this report? I have been trying and can not pull a report from traps. Thanks

When we use the if mib if shows all the sats for the ports on the 5k - when it gets to the Fabric extender ethernet ports there is no data for them. Through the CLI there are stats. I will open a case with Cisco but thought I would look here as well.
