((Also also, the fact that one overly-vigorous cleaning session left the pages and covers curled horribly out of shape; which makes trying to get a decent capture of the text even more faff. That all being said, I like it enough to carry on using it; and I'm a big fan of pilot's frixxion pens range)).

I didn't have much luck with today's hint - but a swift bit of googling (after a lengthy coffee break mind), turned up this link - whilst it doesn't spell out the answer with a ctrl+f-able bit of text, it does show a screen about halfway down that might be helpful under "trace details".

I'll try and keep this constructive (and apologies for the spoilers). Today's question (more specifically the answer) feels like it could have been more "show me, don't tell me" - we've been provided a hint where it suggests something is "normal and expected", but the answer here it's "well actually, not always". I can't…

Thanks, that was a copy/paste (or coffee input) fail on my part! Fixed =)

As it happens I've got an add-on for my Moto Z mobile that is basically a printer for that paper (as it uses my phone's camera for the taking photos, along with any post-production edits - i.e. adding "hilarious" text about the image). I like it, mostly as it's handy for when I visit the folks and basically litter the…

Thanks, I thought about taking a vague punt on an answer - but thought I'd check the comments in case there was something I was missing (aside from my morning caffeine intake). Indeed there was, this pointed me towards a more specific and appropriate answer!
-
Sneaky, I thought there was a problem with the question as I skim read the response to my choice. Then I realised the fault was all mine - knew I should have dug a little deeper from the provided hint!
-
Typically the one day I don't check the comments before attempting an answer ends in a erroneous red X for selecting the correct answer. Nevermind, at least it's a red X I don't need to blame on a lack of coffee!
-
Well, that was not how I wanted to open my week! Read the hint, re-read the hint, double checked the question and re-re-read the hint. Probably a lack of caffiene-infused-magic this morning; but I'm still not sure what the answer should be this morning, and what I did enter was right either. Better luck everyone else!
-
Ok, I had a stab, as one of the answers appeared to fit the question at this particular moment in time. Then the answer appeared to reply to a completely different question. And to save anyone else dancing around the issue, the answer was based around the number of event filters, rather than total number of events as the…

They mentioned firewalls and such around the 24min mark. But to be honest I sorta zoned out and didn't catch anything about specifically mentioning least important metrics. Might give it another go this afternoon if things get quiet enough.

Yeah, I've got a mini boombox and extra battery pack that snap onto the back of my phone as well, (projectors and better cameras are also out there). They were supposed to be making a HTC-tytn-style slide out qwerty keyboard (along with a "health monitor" that'd grab your current HR and BP from some sort of finger cuff -…

Nice to be back, as real life interfered and meant I couldn't get any of last month's mission done. I'd also like to throw some love towards Rocketbook - it's a cracking prize - as I love my notebooks and the OCR tech they use is a darn sight more useful than whatever onenote pretends to implement (only downside is I now…

Every year these come up, and I spend like 3 hours staring at the clues with a mixture of annoyance, frustration and bewilderment; then usually I start getting somewhere with this stuff and triumphantly look at all the lovely green ticks. Not quite this year, fell into a trap of finding something that I could fit into one…

I managed to start the week with the dreaded red X, though in fairness it was 8am and the question had "to" (rather than "between"), so since I was feeling ambitious I just mashed any answer and hoped it was right (since none of them were at that point). Lesson learned, stick to waiting a day and let all the problems sort…
-
I hadn't seen this before, though some cursory reading about it will now go onto my to-do list...
-
There was something said about 1 or two sentences after that bit that did sorta match with one of the answers. I went with that and got it right.
-
@"geosca" There was a mini mission that's still open until the end of the weekend (though I only went looking for it due to your comment, so thanks!)- https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/Announcements-Blogs/THWACK-Mini-Mission-Database-Performance-Analyzer-DPA-and-Server/ba-p/595616

I also had a "neither of these options are supported out of the box" wrong answer without selecting either of them. Though re-re-re-reading the hint and possible answers shows where I went wrong. Must remember to have more coffee before attempting these!
-
Yeah, that took a bit more (well, 1 more click I suppose) digging that I immediately expected; but the answer was soon in hand. Though I can't help but feel the agenda is a bit session-ception

Doesn't the app have some OCR features? I've got mine to email me a transcription of the image across along with the original picture. That said I've found it more than a little annoying to have scans emailed across, only to find one or two of a bunch are garbled mess as the camera decided not to focus correctly.
-
@"userunnown" the link is hidden in the question text - unfortunately it appears the page styling doesn't show the underline underneath hyperlinks.
-
After seeing the comments I went and changed my answers around (so I had 3 boxes marked), that also gave me a red X.
-
Naturally at this point I realise that @Tonedepear had alreadly typed all this out an hour ago, which would have saved me the big red X as well. Which will learn me.
-
No spoilers per se, but because I'm highly pedantic I would like to point out that the word "template" isn't used in the correct answers' section of the hint (perhaps the question should refer to "pages" instead?)

Something along the lines of companions to take on an adventure (or just keep you entertained in isolation), be they animal, vegetable (or I suppose mineral - this pet rock that keeps tigers away certainly is doing the business).
-
Ah, Q7 definitely suffers from the "this is a different heading, but it's evidently still the same section but as the previous seemingly unrelated heading, but not the same as the next seemingly unrelated heading" problem. So no spoilers, but don't make the same mistake I did.
