Cheeky!

Agreed! What, we're not allowed to complain about silly stuff anymore?
-
I think the fastest fix for you right now is to open a support ticket with SW. They can more quickly help and provide resolution in this case.

Grownups.

If auto saw no sampling - and that is the accurate configuration on the router port - then you don't have to do anything. From the router's perspective, sampling simply means that it looks at 1/x of the packets to extrapolate Netflow information. This is usually done to ease CPU pressure on the router or device originating…

Thanks - makes sense.

Sort of like VMware - we're slow to upgrade and have never regretted it.

True statement!

A /25 is 126 usables. You want a /26. Try a new discovery, and enter the subnet of these boxes only - that is, x.x.x.x/26. Post your results and let's see what's what.
-
Wish I could help you more - keep us updated on what support finds. I'm really curious now!

Do the nodes already exist in Orion as WMI-managed nodes without an agent, or are these new adds?
-
Thank you as always for the good info!

I've submitted a feature request to have these additional columns able to be loaded by default on user choice. If you support freedom and good things, you'll upvote. If not, well....have a good day. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3381

Nope, this node is local.
-
Okay, that's really strange. I wish I could help you with this one, but if it was me I'd open a case with support. You can dig for the root cause for a week and not get anywhere - at least if support gets your diags they can likely isolate what's making this happen.
-
Thanks for this detail!

Did this ever get resolved to a more definable point? I'm encountering the same issues with IIS 8, and enabling all fields does not resolve the error.

O I C

Nice - I had a feeling that was it! Glad your problem is solved.

Using net-snmp may allow you to batch-issue the commands - if you want to try, install it on your box and try following the instructions in the document I attached. By issuing the commands from a separate box, you don't have to do one command at a time in a console window. The long and short of it is that the 2800 series…

Feature request here: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1477. Spread the word and vote.

Thanks for the info - I'm going to resubmit as a feature request. This would be super-valuable! Good catch..

Let's try a different approach. At the Netflow summary page, go to the top right search dialog, enter *.*.*.255 and change the search context to 'Endpoint IP Address'. Perform that search. Do you receive results?
-
fitzy, if you go the box itself can you see the application pool via IIS console?
-
Yep, I see what you see. Weird. It may be that SQL is the way to go, or perhaps there are separate variables we can use to reference UDT nodes. I have to run to a meeting now, but I'll let you know what I find. If you're a paying customer, support can likely get this built for you, but I must admit if I were in your shoes…

Let me poke at this for a moment and I'll get back to you...

I view them (NPM vs SAM) as parts of a whole. I look at it this way - I know I want to get the NPM-centric metrics from any Windows box I want to monitor, so I'm going to do that anyway. What that process gives is a ready exposure of the WMI metrics across an entire server once added. I use the method I listed to isolate…

My goal would be to have the ability to download/backup/upload configurations...not as concerned with reporting as these boxes don't change much for us. Others may be able to speak to reporting or other needs better than I. Thanks!
-
Okay, I'm getting somewhere. I can see the command line switches on the server itself, but I DON'T see them (except for the two instances I can actually poll) via RTPE. Very unusual. Anyone experienced this symptom? Thank you.

They are unique indeed - sorry about that.
