If issuing commands from the switch itself, use -i instead of i: Like this: setmib 1.3.6.1.4.1.14706.1.1.5.1.4.11.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.1.1 -i 50

Do you mean that you're unable to export the page as a PDF to show the error? If that's so, then if you're on a Windows box just use Snipping Tool or something to grab the error part of the screen.

Any difference in how you'd approach this if you want the new server to have the same IP/name as the old one? For simplicity's sake, I'd like to leave all the pieces in place that allow the IP of our poller/web box to talk to our stuff, so I want the upgraded server to at least have the same IP as the old (and probably the…

I assume I'll want to deactivate the licenses on the old box before I shut it down, correct? Thanks again!

Attempted an in-place upgrade to a clone and everything looked okay, but half of the SW services wouldn't start. Bogus dependency failures, etc. Guess I'll have to do it the new-build way after all. My main gripe is having to re-install all of the modules...that takes a while!
-
Good point. I may do that....
-
Not a problem - glad it worked for you!

Nope, this VM has had the same amount of cores in the time since it's been added. I can't explain why this occurred at the moment...

aLTeReGo - what exactly is the push for a return to SQL for the NTA data? I'm assuming deeper integration with some of the newer features, but I don't miss the days of the NTA churn on the SQL side. Thanks for any info.
-
Excellent - precisely what I was after! Thanks!
-
Yeah, I hear that. IE's our corporate standard and most folks use it. Thanks!
-
Now THAT's some FRESH SWAG!!!
-
Thank you, ma'am!

Wasn't my intention to further inflame you....just an observation. I've felt that way plenty of times. My apologies for any offense I caused. Good luck in getting your CPs back in a timely fashion!

Sorry for not getting back on this for months - here was support's takeaway on the issue. "The issue appears to be due to the fact that the query text is coming back as Null from SQL Server. Based on the following MS article, this may be because the object is encrypted:…

Keep us in the loop - I'm interested to hear the resolution either from Solarwinds or your own research.

See this thread: Netflow Nexus 7k showing up with inaccurate utilization! Check a) what sampling rate is set to and b) if any overrides are currently in place. If auto-detect didn't grab it, you may need to manually set the sample rate.

You are correct - you'll need to edit the alert to exclude those nodes.
-
You're most welcome - at least now you know what's causing it. Bring on the patch!
-
Thank you very much!

I believe our justification was staying informed about drops on QOS policies since we route VoIP over some of those circuits and wanted to have correlation in case of problems.
-
How many nodes are you monitoring currently? Status polling @ 10 sec will likely be problematic if you're polling large amounts of nodes - even if it is just ping.
-
I hear ya on that - I guess it's a matter of whether you want to beg once for a dev VM, or beg for the next three years to storage admins who don't understand the write speed differences between RAID5 and RAID10.

This problem has again recurred after 10.4 upgrade. I'm opening another case to get it resolved, hopefully. If anyone else has had this symptom, please let me know. The problem now seems limited to WMI polling. I can successfully run the RTPE via SNMP without issue. I have verified the credentials being used to invoke RTPE…

Cisco's great, no doubt - but if you add per-port cost plus smartnet, it gets to be expensive over time. If your enterprise isn't using the apps that having a pure Cisco infrastructure will leverage, then one could argue that it might not be the best fit. I'm not sure I would lump HP/Procurve in with Dell and Linksys,…

It's a slippery one, though. There are errors present on the dev console when accessing the agents page with my normal account vs the admin account, which produces none. There's still something amiss, just not sure where in SW it is.

Case number is 1062227. Well, I've found two interesting things by using IE. First, it works in IE. Slapped myself in the face for not checking. Thought 'oh, just a Chrome/FF problem'. I noticed that navigating to the page in IE automatically uses my admin acct. Go back to Chrome and login with the same user (my admin…

I don't know the answer to that. Historically, I've used both - and the differences in result must have been minor, because I certainly don't remember them . Let's try this - cancel that discovery if you're able. Build a completely new discovery with just some subset of the ranges you want to grab - for example, just the…

Perfection....I thank you very much for taking the time to assist - I owe you big time!

Okay, that's really weird - no packet loss and normal response from the CLI on the poller, yet packet loss/latency reporting in the web console. I've never seen that, and am struggling to imagine what would cause such a discrepancy. You only have a single poller, correct?
