  • You're absolutely right. For some reason, the "E-mail a Web Page" action has problems with SSL web pages. Built a test alert to send the summary page and it worked fine. Simply modify the URL from http to https and nothing. I'm uncertain if this is by design or a bug. In the meantime, you're back to lchance's suggestion,…
  • Yes, displaying it on the Node Details page works for me as you can see below.
  • There's a built-in report under the Historical Volume Usage Report section called Average Disk Space Used - Last 12 Months that you can use to accomplish this. It'll summarize by month the disk space used and peak usage. Unfortunately, it displays as a table so it won't be as "manager-friendly" as a graph would be.
  • Phil, Great information. With regard to operating systems, the most current list of supported systems can be found in either the KB linked above or the SolarWinds LEM QuickStart Guide. To answer your question, yes, we support both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, 32- and 64-bit. Thanks for the clarification because…
  • Based on the article that Chris referenced, it would appear that you would have to manually edit the database in order to tweak these settings. You could use the bundled SolarWinds Database Manager to accomplish this. In your case, you'll want to look at the NetFlowGlobalSettings table and you'd be interested in changing…
  • colby‌, thanks for the clarification. I'm testing out this ability now but I seem to be having some trouble. I created a test group in Active Directory and created a NewGroupMember rule to: * E-mail me if any accounts gets added to the test group * Remove said account from the group I'm receiving the notification but said…
  • You're gonna have to help us help you. What kind of data are you looking for? Do you have a sample SQL query like the one in your original post?
  • I couldn't tell from your statement but does disabling escalation solve your problem?
  • I see. Are you familiar with Orion Report Writer? If so, you'll need to create a new Advanced SQL report. Paste the SQL query from your original post and make the changes you specified near the beginning of that post. Once you save this new report, it should display the information that you need whenever you run the…
  • Have you entertained the second option in my original post where the interface and volume status goes unknown?
  • I haven't tried this myself with UnDP alerts but have you tried replacing that entire condition group with one of the following? Poller Name starts with FAN - or - Poller Name contains FAN Let us know if this works for you.
  • Yeah, it's not particularly intuitive. You'll find them under Build > Groups. Then on the left side, filter on Type of Email Template.
  • Assuming you're asking about adjusting the polling intervals, you can do so through the web console under Admin > Polling Settings (under the Settings section on the right).

  • Are you using v8.5.1.? Perhaps it's a bug? When I update the Report Title, it is properly reflected in the page title and the report header as you can see here. I just tested it by renaming Interfaces to Interfacial.
  • Denny, it's my guess that the second suggestion refers to the SolarWinds customer support site. He's right and wrong. Once you access the Downloads & Updates page, the service packs aren't listed with its current iteration (SP3 in the case of Orion 8.5.1). However, if you hover over the link for the service pack, you will…
  • What macro/variable did you use in the alert?
  • That sounds like the source of your problem. You'll need to provide and if necessary, create login credentials that have remote access to these files.
  • There are two map scripts in the Content Exchange that will perform this for you: Live Weather Map (batch file) or Live Weather Map - VBS Script (requires no software)
  • I dont understand what it means when you say whether I'm monitoring any volumes I believe borgan is wondering whether you're monitoring any additional elements like disk volumes on servers.or upgrading my license to SLX, can you explain that to me? SLX is the licensing edition of Orion that allows you to monitor an…
  • Never mind, we got it working. I had to enable the WinRM service on the poller and then add the remote hosts to the list of TrustedHosts. Again, this is only seems to be required for AppInsight over HTTP. I have another question but I'll post a new thread about this since it's no longer related to AppInsight requirements.
  • Sorry, I actually meant the dimensions (height / width) of your icon/graphic. If you try reducing the size, does it help with the problem?
  • Have you tried creating a batch file that launches Internet Explorer and then kills it afterwards? Another option would be to use WebCon - the Libwww Command Line Tool. According to its documentation, it should be able to perform HTTP GET and HTTP POST. When download and install the windows binary called libwww_V5.4.0.exe,…
  • You don't mean completely blank, do you? If so, that's not possible. Scroll down further (maybe a lot further) in the page because there should be at least some lines of source code there.
  • That's actually the custom MIB poller you're seeing there. You can "Save as..." the webpage to an XML file and import it. Or you could also manually add the poller yourself using the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.2.19.
  • Correct me if I'm wrong here but based on your screenshot, it looks like you've added all three "Node Name" conditions to the trigger for "all" but not the subtrigger for "any". If they were added to the subtrigger, the conditions would be indented as you see in jrutski's screenshot.
  • Ok, let's break this down. Can you post a screenshot of the alerts you're having trouble with?
  • * Are you using the Custom HTML resource? * What version of Orion are you running?
  • Ok, since you don't have the servers in NPM, you'll need something in Watcher to correlate with them going down. How about suppressing the alert if the switch interface the servers are connected to go down?
  • I had a quick go at creating a unique ID but I don't see a way to carry it over from the trigger to the reset. If you use Trigger Time I think this will show different times for the trigger and the reset. Maybe not, I can't say I have tested it. Each instance of an alert has a single AlertTriggerTime associated with it…
  • Alright, if that's the case, can this particular alert be redefined to send using the alternate e-mail server?
