i dont think so.. i m not on 2018 platform version yet... but with 2 of my other instances i am going thru same pain of not having hardware health monitoring of these Vendors...

can you also check if the WMI account is allowed on policy levels from your Solarwinds servers... This is also one of the instance we had come across...

i havent checked the default integration in terms of how it is designed... but i am sure you can take help from your ServiceNOW team to put in some rules for when the incident ticket should be created when it is coming from Solarwinds... There will be lot of options to correlate... I will let u know if i get some more info…

yes i got that.. but if its installed on the main poller itself then all u need to do is, upgrade the main poller and then your APEs...u dont need to separately upgrade each module unless its specified to be done after the core is upgraded... Upgrade advisor will give you a clear picture....

even we use a lot of these, instead of using global thresholds.. and if the request for changing thresholds and other parameters is not very high then using custom property method is best in my view...

d09h Yes i did try to test in my Lab but i didnt have the scenario built which the customer is looking for. Ideally what the above states, should work provided the DNS settings are done correctly.... Thanks for the details though :-)

so when u raised support case for a particular issue and they did not say anything about the setup having multiple instances on same DB?

yes that could be one of the issue, not confirming from my side but we have seen for other storage type for one our of customer.. When reached out to vendor they stated that you cannot poll, only traps can be received...

any update on this? Actually i m facing one issue wherein when the traps are being sent to other tool, for some of the alerts this ""BASE64" part is coming and causing issues.

This looks fine.. As per ur earlier screenshot, it shows that the update happened at same time about alert being active and it got un-assigned... 2 questions: -->Did the alert re-occur? --> You might also have to check if there is any rule written on SNOW end which might be colliding with this.....just a guess...

Oh does that mean its not at all possible for ESXi? And is it possible for you to share snmp config file for one of your ESX 4.1 working box? I can have my VMware admin team to maybe check from their end.

As Steffen mentioned in this page it does not show as its not identifying the devices since those are added as ICMP.. but u can definitely change in bulk from manage nodes section...

Well after the hotfix 6 i dont see any issues...even the Memory and CPU issue is resolved... analyzed the logs and got cleaned few things from that....

i dont quite remember what was done to resolve and i dont have access to that instance now.. But i guess it will be a problem with the agent on server. Maybe re-installing the agent could resolve it...

Yes you can not matter what licensing u are using.. And i also tested by un-managing one application monitor but it did not have any change... so even if u un-manage, the count of component monitor will remain the same and not reduce...
