Is the RC still running for the next release? I would like to jump in on it if I can.

Is this why I cannot pull CPU information from our Palo Alto devices? Do you know when the MIBs will be added?
-
I have the capture. Now just trying to get it to you.
-
Do I need to manually delete something from the database?

Although I am seeing an improvement in CPU numbers. I am still seeing poor performance within the manager interface. Sometimes it is the same poor response as before (mainly delays in responding to mouse clicks when opening node info etc). The big thing that is different now is it is taking 5 minutes and up just to open…

We have started having this problem this week. Netflow is eating up 30GB of log files in less than 30 mins. This causes Orion to no longer be able to connect to the DB at all. Ihave to have my SQL admins go in and clear up the log and then the DB has to run a repair on itself. I have cut my Netflow dvices back as far as I…

Any more suggestions?

I get this problem all the time. However, it is intermittant and I cannot duplicate it on demand. I have worked with support and we have changed timeout values and everything listed above. But the problem always returns. Sometimes it will go away if you click back to Orion Home and then back to Netflow and sometimes you…

I have users setup using AD group membership. Is there a way within NPM to tell which group I am falling into in case my account is hitting a group with restrictions? CORRECTION - My AD account is actually setup as a local NPM account and I have full admin rights and my Reports folder is /Reports.

One more question....where is the Web Console database stored? Either I am blind or I just can't find it. :) I am curious if we have gone over 4GB yet. I want to test the Log Viewer out.

That makes sense. We are running old hardware and probably old software too. I will see if I can get someone to send me the switch engine IP and try that. Thanks for the info.
-
Does anyone else fight with the issue? I am faced with restarting SNMP on about 10 different servers again today after an brief outage.
-
My issue was resolved with a support ticket. We had to get a developer on a goto meeting and the device was manually deleted from the database.
-
When I do that it asks me to confirm the delete which I do and then it goes back to the IP SLA Manager setting screen and the unknown operation is still there.
-
I uploaded the template using the built in feature within NCM. It should be there now.
-
Ah ha! I completely missed that tab. I now have SP2 installed. Thanks for the tip.
-
A repair of Orion and reinstall of SP 5 fixed the issue.

OK This concerns me as I am being told the opposite. If netflow is multi-threaded then why is my Dual Core 1.8 GHz with 8G of RAM not sufficient. Support and a sales engineer have all told me that the application is only using a single 1.8GHz processor. I am scambling to find a server that meets the 3GHz I am being told I…

Argh! You are right - I forgot about that. Oh well, I guess I will have to continue with my original plans of an expect script. Are there any future plans on supporting binary files?
-
My MIB browser is able to query that table on the switch that is error out with no problems.

The current server is an HP DL365 G5 and I would like to keep it in service as the new server would take me down to 1 proc and only 8 Gb of RAM, but I am not familiar enough with the server side to know if the newer proc on a DL360G7 would still be better. Current Server HP DL365G5 Dual Proc/Quad core 2.7Ghz with 20 GB RAM…

You were right. I also worked with support and once we put the dll on the server and registered it the problem went away.
-
I check that KB and I do not see the CapiCom.dll it refers to on either the NPM or NCM server.
-
I have tried all that and still it doesn't work. Any other ideas?
-
That worked. Thanks.

Is there a list somewhere of all the APM tables?
-
Hmm - I don't know if this is going to be feasible if there is a 4GB limit on the Web Console. I can see us filling that up very quickly. The Log Viewer just installs as a separate application on the Kiwi server then? Do you see any problems with it running on the same server as Orion? Also for those of you who are using…

1. Yes Cirrus can login to the device using SSH. 2. There is no "enable" level. The Alteon uses a menu type interface. However only one command is necessary to tftp the config which is /cfg/ptcfg x.x.x.x config.cfg or to dump the config to the screen /cfg/dump. 3. The download seems to always fail with TFTP. I don't think…

Oops I guess I did leave off that critical piece of information. We are running v4.0.2 DL 200 (typo in previous post when I said 500) with 113 nodes now and we are using a back end SQL database.
-
Yes we are running SP 4.
