Hopefully that isn't the answer.

Surely the world's largest energy source is the Sun. We just need to find better ways to tap it.
-
You don't need to watch the video. Just read the question, read the info. in the hint and rule out three of the answers leaving the only logical one. This was one of the easier questions.

I use a great many tools to get the job done. I use the correct tool for the job and make sure the job gets done correctly. I'm certainly not going to try to make an unsuitable tool do the job. I'm also quite happy to do this as it gives me a greater skillset just in case I suddenly find myself having to find another job.…

Day 7 does seem odd as there are different retention periods for different 'financial' records.

Given how they expect me to be in work every day in spite of the Coronavirus issues. Dulce et decorum est pro comitatu mori (It is sweet and fitting to die for the company).

29th is a bit off too. The list of database sources doesn't mention two of the options but apparently that isn't the correct answer. ?

Further proof if necessary that marketing people don't live in the real world. There's no way I would allow someone else free access to my house. I don't let people I know well have access. Who vets the delivery driver, who protects the system. I know how insecure AWS is. Why would I trust them to not let my data into the…

Is blockchain going to be another Dotcom bubble.

Quadriga's wallets empty. What a surprise. Has he done a Reginald Perrin. The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin - Wikipedia Leaves his clothes on a beach and fakes his own suicide.

Agree. Yet another ambiguous question.

Good article. I'm in an environment where I have inherited a load of quick fix solutions that don't really hold together. It came about because of rapid growth, mergers and acquisitions. Talk about a huge 'Technical Debt'. Now I have to try to rationalise it into some sort of cohesive solution without impacting the…

But you would need this installed first. AgentSimilar to the Applet, the Agent enables remote access, but it is installed as a Windows Service or a Mac Daemon. This means the application enables unattended support to the computer on which it is deployed.

Pretty annoyed about these. We use solarwinds through a managed service provider and therefore don't have a customer portal account. The points would be nice as well as the training. Ho Hum.

Automated patch management and having a centralised patch management dashboard are two very different things. I'm happy to have a centralised dashboard so we can see what is patched and to what level. However, automated patching is a real no-no. We have many servers that cannot be patched to the latest level until the…

Manic Miner on the Spectrum used to drive me mad. Currently Defiance has been re-released on the PC. Love the sniper rifles. Anything Halo.

I don't mind coherent systems. It's incoherent managers I object to.

John Lennon Airport in Liverpool has been locked down and everyone quarantined. Imagine........All the people.

Surely most of the internet is fake. I spend a significant amount of my working day researching solutions to problems or new solutions for work. Most of what I see is utter garbage (or fake). Problem is that opinions are like ar5eholes, everyone's got one and most of them are wrong. Sometimes because the person just…

Have to agree. I wasn't aware of the product offering. Now I do, I can offer an alternative to what we currently use.

And yet I've worked with management who don't understand the network and won't spend money on anything network related. After all, "It's just some wires isn't it".

Yes

Good luck getting developers and operators communicating.

We use a managed service for Solar Winds and I have just been speaking to them about getting this in place. Looking at Synthetic Transaction Monitoring at the very least and hopefully a whole lot more.
-
I think I've pretty much convinced them here that Solarwinds is the way forward. Hopefully I can get most if not all of the products. Must talk to someone about a really good deal.
-
Yep, went through the list and the only ones I watched were GoT and Westworld (mostly for the death, destruction and nudity ).

I kinda get what they are trying to do with Fishcoin but it isn't really a crypto currency so the name is misleading. They are trying to secure the supply chain and stop illegal fishing being profitable. It is a major problem with declining fish stocks and over fishing.

Yep, Advertising is a waste of time. Oh, hang on a minute. I work for a global Ad agency. oops

Microsoft recommending better security practices is a bit much. Maybe if their products had even the most basic security we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

Don't allow scope creep. No one should be able to add to your change. If they want something else, either redefine the change and start again or create new changes to cater for what they want in addition to your change. You can bet that they won't be blamed for your change failure after they have modified it.
