Hi Richard, thank you for this request. If there are other areas you would like to get better documented, can you please list them all? It will be very helpful for prioritization. Thanks, Peter

<network_name> is a name of variable, which will be substituted for the actual network name of the machine. You is as it is, so literally <network_name>. Hope that helps, Peter

Friends, we have many many features requests for change management, approvals, approval boards, UI for changes etc. Some smaller some bigger and I'm wondering about priorities, what is blocking you most? There are some obvious features topping the list like Ticket Approval from Technician Interface or On-Demand Approval…
-
Just note that we actually don't allow to link multiple Techs to a ticket, but you can create child tickets to a ticket and assign those to each Tech. Allowing assigning of multiple Techs would make a mess in reporting and alerting.
-
If anyone is interested we will launch Beta soon. See here for more: WPM 2.1.0 Beta - Call for Beta Testers.
-
This is necessary also for Windows 8.
-
We track this under # 203194 internally.
-
That is definitely on our roadmap and something we are looking at, please stay tuned!
-
This is now possible in new version 15.1.0.
-
This is implemented in v2.1
-
Can you please elaborate this request a bit more please? What you want to scan? What information you want to get from scan (some example please)?
-
It's not really a new language, new frame-work which we use instead of Web Objects is Spring.
-
Thanks Tom, looking forward to get your feedback!
-
This feature is implemented in version 2.1
-
Which link? Could you point me where is the broken link? I can see release notes just fine.
-
You can implement strikethrough as suggested in article by adding a new definition. With tables it's a bit tricky and I would recommend to use <pre> tag for pre-formatted text and create your own definition for it too.
-
We do not have a fixed date yet, also we are unfortunately not able to publish them in advance, but please keep you eyes opened for Beta or let me know if you are interested - I'd love to get as much feedback as possible.
-
Reporting on Parts is not included yet. We are still analyzing how to design the report, if to merge it with existing reports or create a new report type and what use-cases are there to cover. We track this internally under # 293324 and I made a note about your use-case + contact details.

This feature request is addressed in last Release Candidate of WHD 12.3. Read more here:Web Help Desk 12.3 Release Candidate now available! or go and download from your customer portal. We did not allow assign multiple Techs to single ticket as this could make any reporting, alerting, escalations and other actions in WHD…

You can attache the picture to the FAQ as an attachment and then link it to the post with * [img]URL[/img] tag.

Thanks everyone for details and votes. This is one of the things we are actively looking at, see What We're Working On - Web Performance Monitor for more.
-
Please go and vote here in these 2 polls: It will help us to better understand what must be done, thanks everyone!
-
Great feedback Brian, Thanks! What is on your mind regarding reporting, I'm listening...
-
Hi Tony, It is possible to merge merged tickets. Can you please let me know what does not work for you? Also how would you like un-merging to work? Is it only about reopening merged ticket or do you also want to revert the changes? Can you also give me example of scenario why do you need this please? Thanks, Peter

Thanks for feedback, it is one of the reporting improvements we would like to introduce in future releases. Good news is that we made Clients available in new Asset reporting! I noticed you did not vote for this feature requests on https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2590#, please make sure you use your vote.

2.1 is now GA!

Hi guys, I put together more information on some features which are on our radar in this blog post: Web Help Desk 12.2.0: Looking behind the curtain including Asset Reporting. Keep your eyes open for a Beta signup! Peter
-
Hi Michael, it is something we are looking at. I'll contact you offline to get more details on how you would use this.
-
Hi romeyde, unfortunately this is not possible to configure. I'm wondering what issues and in which situations it causes, since I'm also using RDC sessions on mac and never encountered such problem. Please let me know. Thanks, Peter

With the new release 15.1.0 it is possible now to selectively disable and enable File Sharing on global, domain, group and user level with many limits specifically for file sharing on all levels (e.g. enforcement of password, expiration of file share and many other).
