I discovered something new today. Our datacenter 9000 ION's are running 5.6.5-B15, and Orion is detecting the 10 gig interfaces as 10 Mbps. I'll be editing them manually.

Let me know how this goes. We are in the process of updating our ION's so that we can export IPFIX. I attempted to enabled IPFIX this morning, and I am getting a similar error but different ID.

API is definitely the trend. We have Cloudgenix SD-WAN, and they recently announced integration with LiveAction. I'm looking forward to seeing what that provides for us.

I am running the latest version of Orion with the latest hot fixes. My ION 3000's are running anywhere from 5.411-b4 up to 5.6.3-b11. In Orion, these are being detected as Palo Alto devices. I have one ION 9000 that is being detected as being from VeloCloud Networks, and two 9000's that are showing as net-snmp. I looked at…

I discovered today that 2020.6 HF 4 is available. In the notes, it says they resolved "The issue with Cloudgenix and MIBs was addressed". I am curious to know what that means. support.solarwinds.com/.../Orion-Platform-2020-2-6-Hotfix-4

Good morning, Any updates on the NTA compatability? I enabled IPFix on one of my ION's, The ION is appearing in NTA, but I am seeing a warning "The NetFlow Receiver Service [XXXXXX] received an invalid IPFIX template with ID 256 from device n.n.n.n"

In case someone else comes across this thread, I have Cat 9300's running 17.3.3 and UDT is working on that version.

Hi Jostein, I was curious to know what monitoring you have in place for your Cisco AP monitoring? Our environment is two WLC's in a N+1 configuration. I am monitoring the WLC's via SNMP so I receive AP and client information from the WLC. Do you also monitor your AP's using iCMP? I was having issues with the included "Thin…

Hi, Thanks for the update. Is this MIB file included with the 2020.2.6 release?

Thanks for providing this info. We did a POC between Cisco and Cloudgenix and I discovered these issues right away in Orion with the Cloudgenix devices. In addition, discovered in our POC that our Netpath tests are incomplete with Cloudgenix in the mix. It still builds the path, but we aren't getting the same level of…

We are doing a POC currently. Do you use NTA and were you able to get Netflow data from Cloudgenix into NTA?
-
Was this ever resolved? We have the same issue and we are running v9.1.8.

My security team is telling us to rebuild the pollers as well but keeping the database. Is it possible to reset the licenses through the portal? I have a unique situation where we are moving datacenters. Our plan is to migrate the database from one datacenter to the new datacenter. The new pollers will be stood up in the…

I'm having this same issue. Waiting on hold with Solarwinds. I've downloaded the installer from the portal as well as from my MPE and both fail. As a test, I put in the wrong password for my MPE, and that says the password is wrong, so there is some communication occurring between the two. I also went through the ports…

Hi, I was able to enable SNMP monitoring on the spine and leaf switches, but I can't get the APIC's enabled. Also, what documentation did you use to enable polling the APIC via REST API? Thanks,

When this gets copied to the directory mentioned, do any services need to be restarted? I added the template to the directory, and then I went into the node and selected the template. When I try to download either running/startup config, I receive the error "Unable to locate or error loading device template" and then the…

I think I found the problem. It was using the wrong vrf.

Yes, I can ping the syslog server.

We ended up disabling the alert and relying on Prime for AP alerts. We were getting alot of false positives on the AP is down alert.

This is something I have been looking for. Thanks for posting this. I tried to create the report with Reportwriter, and when I execute the query, I get the message: SQL Error: Conversion failed when converting the varchar value '$-{NodeID}' to data type int.

Mharvey, You are a lifesaver! I forgot about being able to switch the view! This is perfect!

What I ended up doing is in the diagnostics file I saw it was trying to download it from Solarwinds. I took that url and downloaded it and put the downloaded file in the C;\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Installers folder. I retried and it then it stopped on another MSI file OrionImprovementOptin. I did the same thing with that…

Hi Chris, It did disappear later in the day. I was excited to see it since I read about the Nexus monitoring in the Beta.

Thanks for the reply. I do have "logging server x.x.x.x" in my configuration. Below is the output on the switch when I do "show logging" Logging console: enabled (Severity: critical) Logging monitor: enabled (Severity: notifications) Logging linecard: enabled (Severity: notifications) Logging fex: enabled (Severity:…

Hi, I opened a case as well on this and that was Solarwinds recommendation. We have NTM installed on a dedicated VM. My goal was to have anyone on our comm team to have the ability to go onto this PC and log in and make the changes needed. Today, all the maps are associated to my login which I didn't want. I think we will…

Hi, Thanks for replying. I opened a case and we ended up adjusting the alert so that the Wireless Access Point Stauts is not equal to Up. The default on the alert was set to Down, and that was never being met because when the AP was going down, Orion was reporting it in an Unknown state.

How does OpenJDK appear in Task Manager? I am in the process of migrating my database as well, and I am getting the same error message. I don't see anything in task manager named OpenJDK. Thanks!
-
I did try the first one. Do these templates only work for SCP? I was hoping to do this via telnet or ssh.
-
Thanks Jan! This is exactly the information I needed.

Did this take you to a Saleforce website for the buddy drop? Support sent me a link but nothing about how to log in to download it.
