What a man, what a man what a mighty good man! Can I ask a totally stupid question, how do you construct these queries? Do you drag and drop tables within the SQL MS? Or write them from scratch in your head?

My only issue now is I want the report to group by Node, showing all volumes. How it should group: NODE01 -------C -------E -------F NODE02 ------C Right now there is no grouping of multi disk nodes. NODE01 C NODE02 C NODE01 E

I feel like there are two camps - Camp 1. SolarWinds is perfect, don't say it isn't, because it is. It runs flawlessly. It must be something you're doing wrong if it doesn't work. Camp 2. SolarWinds is not running so smooth for us and has TONS of bugs, its frustrating, but we learn to live with it and try to ignore them as…

Indeed, end users and customers should provide solutions and fix a public company's flagship product on their own. ️

This has been a "Bug" since 12.0 guys. It's flakey. Plain and simple.
-
The whole PDF report process is a PITA. I have one client that is on 12.0 and a service restart fixes this every time. All other PDF drama for me is fixed by using Admin.
-
Ok, found it....Changed the polling interval to 5 minutes in settings. Thanks.
-
Very cool. This looks like a valid solution.

Hhow do I specify the exact intrface I want data on? There are no options int he GUI. I already have a general TT wideget, now I want one for a specific interface.
-
Also. You are far from done experimenting. You will need to play around with width and height adjustments. Your NOC View journey has only just begun.
-
You need to assign the map. Then, edit the view to pick the map. You are stopping before the next step. 1. Assign the map resource. Don't worry that it doesn't say Hassan yet. That is the next step. 2. Open the view. 3. Edit the map resource. Click Edit and there find Hassan.

Thanks, I should have known we had it already.

Thanks. I will try it tomorrow. Yes, I experienced the column issue too but I got distracted and didn't keep at it, but yes, I could sense something was up when going into Preview Mode. Thanks for your help.

It's been smooth for a few weeks. But let's face it: it's quirky as fuch. Still, I could never deploy SA Vision mapping with any confidence. It crashed hourly and was pretty much un-deployable. I would like to see the latest version because I do miss it's power compared to SolarWinds. I need more than Nodes on my maps.…

Ok, so I downloaded the latest MIB in my portal and I see it has UCD-SNMP-OLD I will put in a support ticket...for the newest...anyone have any other input on this?
-
My issue is they are not showing in report writer reports when testing. I'm impressed that you are having success in the new version. I will send you a trophy.

Trololol. 6.2.1 It doesn't matter at this point. I deleted and I am recreating my templates.

DB maintenance is running....
-
Yes. But my main issue is why the macros don't populate. I am fine with still getting the alerts but my manager doesn't like the litany of $ macro failures. Any ideas?
-
LookS like Alex did it. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/60426 I just need the script for 1 single service. Hacking away.
-
Just shoot meh.
-
One day maybe, just maybe, we'll see automated object management.....one fine day.....until then, we have this stuff called manual SolarWinds labor.
-
Just click close, its a harmless error.
-
Yep. One egregious situation I have developing today is having to give users Full Admin just to create pollers. They are acting like I'm a jerk because I said no to full blown Admin access. It's little stuff like this that makes my life painful. How do I get around this?
-
I cannot begin to tell you how lame this web based alert manager is. I'm seriously disgusted with the step backwards. I cannot effectively/quickly create alerts on the hundreds of components if I cannot see them in the picker. Keywords DON'T HELP when there are hundreds of components. So sick of how SolarWinds is such a…

Clifton, We are pulling for you bro, as michalB dropped out of the race in October 2010...May the Force be with you...seriously, this obviously is not getting fixed which is really sad. The bitmap fix proposed isn't working for us... ">michalB Oct 4, 2010 1:43 AM (in response to JimCouch) Jim, we are aware of this issue.…

Thanks. My customer is a brand new deployment. We installed 12.0.1 and 7.0.
-
Wow, 5 years. No feature yet. Imagine if engineering worked half as hard as the sales guys. We'd have a complete product with no gaps.
-
Mods - can you please unmark this as answered.

The simple fact that SolarWinds does not autodiscover and maintain my fixed disk inventory for me makes it a totally substandard product for server monitoring compared to scom. But again, as I have mentioned before most of the people that trash scom don't understand these concepts and don't understand the automation that…
