+100% It looks like the end-user or customer will do the test for them.... This statement might be harsh to them but it's a reality.... In my case, I haven't experienced smooth upgrade.

Case #80913 . Garrison from solarwind tech support assisted me on this and recommend that this issue was due to database. I have consulted our DBA for this case and he stands that it wasn't the database because as he check the database box it has only 50% utilization. But we will try to install a dedicated SQL server for…

Thank you for responding but it doesn't resolved it. I attached another screenshot on node details error. I think it is related to website but Im not sure though. PLEASE HELP

Thanks for the tip

Hope you have trainings in Asia Pacific Region. (Specifically in Philippines :-) !)

Yes sir. It is easier to search IOD on the device website if supported or not rather than searching it through UnDP but the thing is, although it is supported UnDP still not recognizing IOD. There are three basic step to verify why the UnDP when test it failed 1. Check community string 2. MIb/OID should be supported, can…

Looks like your database server resides in the same server as your polling engine! Does your polling engine still collect statistics on your target devices?
-
b- No. A Node belong to an engine in the database. You can however move easily Nodes among your Polling Engines with the Monitor Polling Engines utility to balance the servers. If you need to ensure your nodes will keep being monitored in the event of a Polling Engine failure, you might want to add a hotstandby engine to…

As usual, Thank you so much YANN

This is very scary. Me too I'm pretty much system-manager-user than web console. I'm planning to upgrade my 9.1 to 9.5 but with issues arises like this........ I will hold off for the mean time =(

Thanks for the reply

Makes sense. But it appears that I need to take all of the module :(

EOC doesn't merge them into one system, but rather imports information from both to give you a unified view of the information. Yes, EOC needs its own database separate from the two you're using in your individual NPM installs. So regardless of whether NPM servers are in different version and SQL?

I just recently installed the NCP-NPM integration. My problem is that, there's another administrator for that and it is restricted for NPM user. Is there a way to set NCM on read mode only for specific function on NPM web console? to restrict any changes?
-
im just wondering....the post is almost 7-year-old-post :) anyway, grouping of nodes can be done in custom property editor
-
I need to add another question to the above please. The Orion admin guide says that custom properties will need to be copied to an additional poller in order to be available if the original poller fails. Does that apply to things like alerts, maps, reports and custom pollers? Do all of thoese things have to be copied or…

Thanks for the response Yann, How is that....…

Fail over - when 1 router will down the load will transfer to the other router. so when that happen, only several RTO then will return to UP again
-
add me in here. I have experience the same in 9.5 SP4. Sometimes we have to wait for the next polling interval before the web console will show that it is already UP though I have clicked POLL NOW several times, we're thinking of "POLL NOW" or "REDISCOVER" is not working on the web console because it did not do what it is…

I will. Any ideas why is it like that?

But how do i create a report that uses that attribut ?? Use Orion Report Writer on your main server. You can use one of its template called "Historical - CPU load and Memory" or you can create your own custom report depending on what you need
-
Check the SNMP Community String that you use. Also the server where it accepts SNMP requests. 1. SNMP Services>Security> Accept community names> Add community string 2. SNMP Services>Security>Accept SNMP packets from these hosts > (NPM Polling engines) or set it to Accept SNMP packets from any hosts
-
What routing protocol did you use? ospf? eigrp? bgp?
-
instantaneous
-
no attachement?
-
that service account should have access to NCM also
-
In my humble opinion. Money wise, you can buy another license for NPM and NTA which is cheaper rather than buying NTA SLX just to fit to existinig NPM SLX since you only use NTA for several devices only. Considering Netflow is not supported with other devices like servers and others COMPARISON: New NPM SL100 = 2475 New NTA…

Does anyone from solarwind answered this issue with working resolutions?

report scheduler uses orion credentials to view URL that is within Orion though its original source is outside Orion. I'm not sure if I understand correctly your post
