Better if you log a high priority trouble ticket with SW. 80% CPU? that's critical level already
-
Did you mean Trend line in Graphs?
-
Yes it's possible on the Advanced Alert manager You can set your alert to be trigger on the following example condition xmit percent utilization is greater than or equal to 50% or Recv percent utilization is greater than or equal to 50%

I've got a user in NPM 9.5 who I'd like to be able to manage/unmanage devices. I don't really want to grant them the ability to modify node properties or add/remove nodes, just to unmanage the device to suppress alerts for maintenance. Doable? Not possible. Why not use Acknowledge Alerts to supress it instead?

Need some sort of filter or programming expression. AND/OR ELSE/WHATEVER.... Tough job though
-
you can sort your node list on node management which uses the custom property fields. Sorry but its not clear what you really wanted to accomplish :)
-
These two condition looks odd to me :) Priority is equal to High Status is not equal to normal You may try to delete 1 after another to test which condition is not valid :)

You can find it here on page 10-12 http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf Requirements Requirements for Orion NPM vary based upon the number of elements managed, the polling frequency, and the number of simultaneous users, among other factors. The following tables provide general…

This site would be a big help on your inquiries http://www.solarwinds.com/support/orion/docs/gaps/gaps.htm#PollingInterval

Yes

actually syslog only listen to logs that are being forwarded by devices then saved it to database. What you see on syslog is exactly what you see on device's log.
-
I think the condition you set will not suppress it since the condition was alert any

I add both server

I have it too. It is something that needs to be addressed on the next SP release =)

I'm just wondering what version of visio you are using... I use 2007 version and it work just fine either in jpg or gif

I am not sure how this can be done I would imagine with all the stats in the DB it could be based off of that, pollers not updating, jobs not being completed but I think we really need a canned health monitor set for Orion itself. There are just to many holes right now in the system, I basically have to monitor manually…

It is supported. http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm Browse to system requirements

Hi, After making changes to Polls Per Sec Tuning, restarted the service and now the Engine Status = Stopped under Monitor Polling Engine WEB Server. I tried restarting the all services using Orion Service Manager and the Solarwinds NPM service is stuck. I cannot restart the service. Polling Engine on SVC-NETMON-WEBEngine…

And if you does running DB and Orion on single box.....you probably need to move your Orion to a different box before its too late :D
-
Wow 26GB? that is too much dude unless you are running a database on the same server? My server only has 2GB with Netflow, NCM, NPM, and APM all in the same box and running ~72% of memory
-
I hope this is possible.... Even the printable version of the report still shows the hyperlink
-
you can add custom property on the web console right? regarding drop-down.....sounds like a feature request? add me to this

Hi bwicks, This one caught my attention which leads me to some questions; 1. Do you encounter any error message from the web console upon deleting interfaces directly on the DB? 2. Does the interfaces you deleted on the DB itself went back when next polling cycle occur? I know when u delete a node or interface on the web…

You are correct but it is still depends on how you setup data retention. If you want a yearly report then you should set it up to 1. Detailed Statistics retention 2. Hourly Statistics retention 3. Daily Statistics retention 4. Events Retention

I second this request

Same thing when you issue ping command on your command prompt (ICMP protocol)
