ok so As it turns out, there was another qos policy put in place that I hadn't noticed before. This would explain why when I killed the two servers I had policing setup for, it was still getting discards. So after rebooting the router and the firewall everything is running fine. no more stall-outs.
-
ok So in doing the show policy map interface command I am seeing the Bandwidth policies that are in place, but its not showing any dropped. I am seeing where it is showing exceded stats, and I would hope that it was dropping those, but not sure on that.

ok Cancel that Cancel, We turned off the two servers that we were policing and it is still generating the Discards. Now it's getting bad enough that while regular browsing isn't affected very often, large downloads, or sustained downloads stall out.

I have a general Idea, but don't really know anything about using SQL studio, saving custom reports, etc. Like I said, when I tried to edit the report using just a text editor, it just reverted back.
-
You know what, cancel that. I just remembered we had setup 2 policing policies on that router. It just occured to me that those are most likely the source of the discards.
-
ok so I have a similar Issue. Our primary internet Line, a 100Mb MPLS connection on a cisco 3825, is generating about 2000 discards per hour. No errors. I can't see any reason why it is doing this. Anyone?

We are, Yes. We try to keep things pretty universal due to the usage of multiple Solarwinds modules.

That was setup pre-me.. lol. We've since moved away from trend and to a different endpoint protection solution and now I'm just trying to perform cleanup. It was generating over 1000 event entries a day stating that it couldn't find them, so I was trying to stave off a disaster of our DB crashing due to plain dumbness.…

ok tried the list resources option, and nothing showed up. Tried using the Universal device poller but can't make heads or tails of what I'm looking at. Was able to get one poller in place but it didn't really do anything. So basically I can't watch the individual interfaces on the sonicwall with orion?
-
unfortunately I don't know enough about SQL to be able to make the necessary corrections. Plus, this was a report I was trying to save to the site.. Whenever I opened the report, and changed the variables, it would still give the incorrect data in the report itself, when opened in Orion.

Thank you! I knew the answers were out there somewhere. I just wasn't using the correct search terms I guess.

The blank banner gradient is nice and all, but I'm actually trying to eliminate the top banner completely.. is there any way to do that?

Many Many thanks my friend. Still learning my way around this awesome software so I'll have many more questions before its over.

I thought of that, but we actually need it from the various nodes individually as well, so that we can update individual Circuits to remote sites, also it will help us determine if the remote routers are being overloaded or taxed near capacity so that we can determine upgrades for those as well. That's where the cpu/memory…

I like this idea over trying to manually build the trend graphs from data in a dumped Excel sheet thank you. I have the small problem of interpreting your solution though. Where do I go to build the views in the Web interface of directly on the server itself? If directly on the server which application? I've figured out…

My tale is one of inexperience. When I first started, we were about 2-3 versions back on just about every component, and on npm9.5. After attending the install webinars for V10, and reading all the docs I could, I went to do the upgrade, and found out I had to upgrade APM first. The problem was I could not upgrade from the…

you know what? I'm a bit embarrassed here.. There were no IP flow commands on the interfaces.. I just found out while looking back over things. Sorry for the dumb question.

I would like to see the adding of DHCP Servers a little easier. Instead of using a radio button, Multiple checkmarks would make it a lot less repetitive and a lot quicker for adding multiple dhcp servers/scopes.

Just ran across a post that has already answered this question, so now I've got a different question on the same topic. I have managed to get the SNMP monitoring setup on the sonicwall. The issue I'm running into is that it is not adding any interfaces. When I do the network discovery it pulls up all the info about the…
