BUMP! We use nothing BUT ISIS! Would be awesome to have!

I, for one, will board that train. I didn't even realize that was the issue here so thanks for pointing that out. Do you know what the proper forum is to go about forwarding these requests to Cisco?
-
Please let us know. If that resolves this for you we will plan on doing the same.

I guess I am not sure what you mean. The free memory on the switch is measured in KB. _Switch_.1 # sh memory System Memory Information ------------------------- Slot-1 Total DRAM (KB): 262144 Slot-1 System (KB): 7480 Slot-1 User (KB): 196152 Slot-1 Free (KB): 58512 I wouldn't mind if the graph shows KB, except the KB value…

I am starting to think that there could be two potential reasons for this. The first might very well be that the OID as I have it now is specific i.e. 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.715.1.1.6.1.12.10027.1 which I will note that when I try to build as a custom poller itself when testing against my equipment it will tell me "the OID is not…

They have been assigned for a couple days now - I do not get any results from a query in either the hourly or the daily table. Could it be somehow that the data collected by these OIDs is not formatted correctly? Here you can see just by the snmpwalk where there are issues:
-
Hello again Jay, I tried this - no entries came up under Uri and DisplayName I must be structuring this incorrectly.
-
Thanks Richard, that is working well. The next problem is trying to figure out how to deal with equipment that wants to sit there and spew the same trap message over and over again until it is either cleared or acknowledged. Do you have any advice there? I am trying to avoid getting 5 alerts for the same error, then 5…
-
Nevermind actually I think I figured it out. You have to convert it to Json format since the booleans in json are different than python's capitals. Will post the code when I get it. add_dictionary.update({'ifIndex' : index}) # important part because json serializer in the sdk will convert python boolean to json…

Obviously if this switch only had 58k free memory, we'd probably be in trouble. Not so much if 58Mb

Thanks for your reply Sean! I have made that change. Making the MIB change was successful, but I still do not see any interfaces in Orion after adding the node. I am still a bit confused why AES 256 option is available but not applicable as well, but that could be a number of things... EDIT: Needed to generate SSL cert on…

Pardon me but when you say "groups" what exactly are you referring to. I suspect this might be our issue as well. Trying to figure out where to look.
-
Can you explain the SQL a little bit Richard? It looks to me like the trigger rule and reset rule are quite similar (especially since the color values are the same) but I am admittedly not very proficient with SQL.
-
Hey thanks! How did you manage to come up with that query? I am running into more and more situations where using a SQL query is the only way to "get the job done," so to speak. In this case specifically, I was trying to create a table that would show routing alerts, I just really have no way of knowing how to go about…
-
Any idea how you can set the value to true in python? I tried to set it as 'true' but I am not sure that the SDK is seeing it as the same as the unquoted true boolean...
-
Thanks Richard Where I am getting hung up is I am not seeing any values. For example: These pollers are assigned to nodes and should be generating statistics.
-
Bump. Any ideas here?
-
Solved by using Accedian EtherNID Template I had to make some slight modifications to the template because NCM was not recognizing the semicolon of the Accedian as the expected prompt post login: <Command Name="VirtualPrompt" value=":"/>
-
Have you ever found a way to do this? It would be immensely useful for us to send a graph in our email alerts! Thanks
-
Problem is that it will not support AES, even though configuration options are there. Issue is with Extreme, not Orion.
-
Hi Jay I tried this today; was not quite sure what to select from the "Select Entity" markdown box - seems I keep getting Server error: "Error: A query to the SolarWinds Information Service failed." Thanks for the suggestion though.

RichardLetts Richard - Do you have any advice on the following scenario? (I debated opening another thread for this but I know a lot of people are referencing this one and it somewhat makes sense to keep various examples here.) This is a little different than the OP's situation since their "trap type" varies the condition…
-
Were you ever able to find a solution for this? I am having the same problem on a lot of nodes where it just hangs.
-
No comments in over a year? I would expect this would be a fairly common problem!
-
BUMP! I would really like to see some improvement here! Any news?!
-
Nobody knows how to do this??
