Extremely in favor of this. Why Solarwinds would think a reasonable application monitoring software would never have more than 10 ouputs is beyond me.

My experience is that you MUST disable HA before running the configuration wizard. In fact, once I forgot to do so and it put both main polling engines into a state where each thought it was the secondary. I had to get technical support on the phone in order to fix it.

Did you have to make this change on all orion servers? Or only the main server? Thanks.

That's pretty disappointing... I have been asked to set up database monitoring for about 200 nodes. If the SDK isn't an option and assigning the Appinsight for SQL to a group is not an option (see screenshot) are there any available workarounds for assigning more than one Appinsight for SQL applications at a time?

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for clarifying. I appreciate your help.

Thank you very much for the advice Christopher. I have two follow up questions. This article states that this may be an issue if this query SELECT * FROM [Subscriptions] WHERE FailedDeliveryAttempts > 0 returns a result, or if there are error messages in the InformationServiceV3.log. I don't see either of these symptoms in…

Would like to add that this is 2020.2.4

This worked, thank you. I guess I didn't expect each property to have its own URI.

Is there any documentation on how to add a component to an application template via the API? Is it even possible?

changing passwords regularly for recordings is something we need as well. Going in to each recording and manually editing each password is not feasible. I second this.

@"aLTeReGo"is it necessary to first install SQL Server CE 4.0 or can SQL Server CE 3.5 just be uninstalled?

Was there ever a resolution to this? I am getting the same error and cannot figure it out for the life of me.

Well Orion has a name for each of the un-monitored interfaces in a node's list resources page. How does it know this? The data must come from somewhere. If not the database, then where? (I know you can refresh the list resources and it will actively poll the interfaces on that device; however, when you first open the page,…

In our environment we have 12 APE licenses. We used to have them stacked 2 licenses to one server. (i.e. 6 polling servers, each with 2 licenses). I strongly discourage stacking licenses. We had countless recurring issues that immediately stopped once we 'un-stacked' our polling engines. The most prominent and impactful…

Has anyone tried one million elements yet? What was your experience like doing so? What kind of specifications did it require? Did you have to make any big adjustments to the Orion environment to get it to work? I imagine the database would have to be very high-performing.

Even just a name of a table in the database that includes these unmonitored interfaces would be awesome. I can't find them in the database either. Database only seems to include monitored interfaces.
