That worked for me, too. Thank you!!!

I'm having the same problem with the "certificate self-signed" issue mentioned a few replies back. Everything is identifal except for this section between the startup and running configs. I really want to eliminate these "false non-matches". Michael

Any idea when 8.5.1 will be released? Due to typical Murphy Law applications, I have a stack of changes that were just sent to me by management. I'd rather tell them a date that they have to wait for than to tell them that I have no idea when a fix is coming. Thank you.

The article was perfect. Thank you!! Michael

Yup. So sorry. I didn't change the "Type of Property to Monitor" to "Volume".

I was trying to upgrade NPM first, which is when I received the first message. I'll take a look at this article to see if it sheds some light. I would think that the NPM would be first (just like you said... ) but it won't let me continue. Michael

I just received the following response from Solarwinds Customer Support. Please perform the following: Start > Run ? regsvr32 -u "C:\Program Files\Solarsinds\Common\SWDiscoveryServices8.dll" Then Start > Run > regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\SWDiscoveryServices8.dll" This appears to be…

I'm glad I read these things. I'm having the same issue. I'm going to try the 'dummy node' scenario. Michael Kocsis Data Communications City of Tampa

Do you (or does anyone) know if this is going to change in future versions? Is anyone else having this issue? Or do I just have a wimpy server? Michael

Hi Richard, Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll take a look at this and see if that may be causing it. Michael Kocsis City Of Tampa/T&I Dept Unified Communications 813-274-7592 Michael.Kocsis@tampagov.net

This was a nasty supprise to me, too.

We want to monitor volume usage and alert if percent used is over a specific value. In Basic its fairly straight forward. I can't seem to find a straight forward solution for this alert in Advanced. I'm fine for CPU and memory, just not volume. Michael

A simple Reboot Alert. I haven't tried it with 8.5 yet, but prior we had to customize the datebase. It shouldn't be that difficult. Thank you. Michael

I'm not sure if this will be covered in V8, but how about the ability to schedule maint (non-managed) time. Right now I have to get up at 3:00 AM to put a server into maint. Also, the ability to put just one interface into maint instead of the entire device. Michael K.

Two items on my wish list are... 1) The ability to schedule maint (non managed time) instead of just being able to start NOW. (I have to get up at 3:00 AM to put some devices into non-managed mode) 2) The ability to do a SNMP acknowledgement to the alerts (I believe that V8 will have web site acknowledgement). My engineers…

I upgraded mine, too and didin't even try Mapmaker yet. When I did I received the same error. This fixed worked for me, too. Good catch. Michael Kocsis Data Communications City of Tampa

That must be it. I'm using the 5 license version. I'll have to wait to play with the scheduled tasks until I purchase a real version. Thanks for the input! Michael K.
