We do this within NPM/NCM. We monitor the syslogs for specific events then use that to generate the alerts. This is similar in the way that the realtime change detection works within NCM.

That sounds like a special case, we went through similar, in the end we added the SAM module to the exisiting NPM installation and started SAM from scratch.

Thanks for asking meech​. When you are looking at charts things like 'this week' are a bit arbitrary. When did this week start, Sat, Sun, Mon. Perhaps 'Last week' could be 'last 7 days' or do you mean last Sun-Sun or last Mon-Mon etc.

I would suggest you raise it with your solarwinds account manager. We've always found that helps.

Completely with you tonedepear​ this is certainly something that was better in the old version from a NOC point of view. From the other side of the room I could tell if it was a small problem or the sky was falling in.

Within the default reports, there is one called "Nodes availability - Last Month". Does this give you what you need? If not it may give you a good start to clone and edit for your own purposes.

We have used the NCM compliance functionality in the past in a similar way. It ensures that devices do and do not have specific things turned on or off. Take a look at this solarwinds lab as it may help. SolarWinds Lab #34: Amp Up Your Network Configuration and Compliance with SolarWinds NCM

We resolved this by filtering out the type of traffic that goes over the internal connections.

Because the deny rule above it: access-list 60 deny 192.168.12.0 255.255.240.0 contains the .15 subnet. That will be processed first and connections blocked.

Have you considered an snmp walk to see if they are being picked up on another OID?
