I'd suggest you start with the Solarwinds academy training as it sounds like you are starting from scratch. There is a section here on Server and Application monitor and the on demand videos should be ideal to get you started. customerportal.solarwinds.com/virtualclassrooms

Do you get an error message, I'm not sure I understand where you see the issue?
-
I would imagine the service provider is using something like 95th percentile. Have you set the interface speed to match your allocated bandwidth? Have you run the 95th percentile report?
-
Have you admin down the unused ports? Or are they up-down?
-
Does someone else with more permissions get the error? Are you full admin in SAM GUI?
-
Are you trying to monitor this in HCO? Are you using the F5 Network Insight functionality? https://www.solarwinds.com/network-performance-monitor/use-cases/network-insight-f5-big-ip

Dell never used to provide any storage related information on these devices over SNMP so you may need to look at something like storage resource monitor if that is supported. Please see this thread : thwack.solarwinds.com/.../hardware-sensors-monitoring-and-dell-vrtx

When you look in the orion service manager is the jmx bridge service running?
-
Can you look at your system health https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-optimization-activediagnostics.htm do you have a very busy poller? is the web server on the same server as the poller?
-
Can you put yours in the content exchange? They look great.
-
I'd suggest starting with the above then coming back when you want to expand it further.
-
There's a couple I used to use: Active Directory Health Checks Active Directory Group Policy Is there a specific issue that has caused you to want to monitor Active Directory, perhaps start with a targeted alert for that.
-
When you replace the device are you deleting the node and re-adding via the same IP or just swapping the device with the same IP address?
-
Very sorry to wake up to this news, good luck with your next endeavour. It wasn't clear from your message if you are staying at SolarWinds? Loved the poem, and it's not the network, it's probably DNS.

Correct NTA uses FSDB. So no SQL install required. Server 1:Orion website, NPM software etc. Server 2: SQL for OrionDB Server 3: FSDB for NTA, No SQL required.

I meant for UK delivery

I would follow the steps as suggested, that worked fine for us, however I'd be inclined to separate migration and upgrade. Just too keep it simple. Migrate old server 11.5 to new server 11.5, upgrade new server to 12. or Upgrade old server to 12, migrate old server 12 to new server 12. It just means at any point your…

I've seen the same SQL errors as you. SQL Server 2016. Windows server 2016 everywhere.
-
thegreateebzies thanks, here you go.

We use a separate SNMP test to verify connectivity from the Solarwinds server. Usually a check for uptime via SNMP is the best verification.
-
SSIDs, response times, interface speeds. All we really need. The client info etc is all the in the meraki dashboard. As we look after the core, the clients connected doesn't really matter to us.
-
I would expect it to be less than both combined, however just go for 32GB everyone will be much happier
-
I'd not come across these before, we're already a Forcepoint customer. We will investigate more, thanks.

I used to use a calculator somewhere to get the performance difference for the number of disks in each array. Perhaps you should go down the real analysis route. Show the performance difference if you can.
-
ooooh, a hidden user. Could be a banned user? Quite the mystery.
-
We are in the same situation, however remote poller pricing, for what is just monitoring a single location with a single device is cost prohibitive.
-
I have to disagree, I've seen a lot of improvements, just look at perfstack, netpath, appstack. These are great steps forwards. Whilst they may not be focused on your module of choice, maybe they are deciding they have cast the net too wide. As for ensuring investors get their return on investment, I would suggest that…

I've seen this before, I seem to recall that it was just taking a long time to do all the queries, I think the data will load if you leave it long enough. The gotcha is that the page may well be auto refreshing before the chart loads. Try increasing the reload page time, and waiting a little longer.

Still waiting

Good question, keen to see some answers on this one.
