1. This should be possible (see screenshot below). Are you on NPM 10.4? 2. There is a difficult way to do this today with audit events, but we can definitely make this easier. 3. One of the top idea request is for an unmanage reason. I assume this is the same as your third request and it's definitely something highly…

jawells, The talk of Network Sonar is because NCM depends on NPM for this feature to work. You must have NPM and NCM for NCM User Tracking to work. Thanks, Mav
-
To help clear up what are plans are regarding this functionality, I have written a blog post on the Product Blog. You can read the post here and see more about signing up for the beta here.

bunny, Have you contacted support about this? I would like them to gather more information from you. Once you open a case, please post back the case number and final resolution. Thanks! Mav

Corey, Netflow does not currently track the BGP-AS field. This is a request we are currently working to satisfy but not available in the product today. Mav
-
We have a hotfix that should help with the problems you are having. We are trying to get that out today.

extrands, We hear you :-) I can't go into full detail on thwack about our future plans around user tracking at this time. However, we know this is still a large pain point for many of our customers and are working on a solution. I will contact you directly offline to discuss in more detail. If anyone else would like to…

sja, I'm glad you are a fan of NPM! Regarding Netflow, we are constantly working on improving performance of Netflow as you can see in the "What we are working on post". Also, as you mentioned, we are working on the BGP data. About the licensing, we have found that linking the NTA license on the NPM license is the best way…

I'm looking at your case now.

We have added alerts to NTA, but not ones that cover these last specific use cases. It's something we're definitely interested in, but right now performance is still our number 1 priority. Regarding youtube traffic, as I'm sure you know, it's a bit tricky. Unfortunately the IP addresses do not resolve to the youtube.com…

David, you are correct. I meant to type SuperScope not subnet There are other options we get requests for as well (ex: exclusions), but I definitely have your SuperScope request logged. Mav

I've contacted Jon directly but just to make sure everyone is aware. A Release Candidate is a fully supported, production ready release. It is essentially the last step before the product becomes Generally Available for all customers. In this particular case, I agree it may not be the best time to upgrade. Also, if you are…

Regarding your frustration about UDT, I have written a blog post that covers the differences between Switch Port Mapper, NCM User Tracking, and UDT (I believe you have seen this already). The User Tracking features in NCM cover very specific use cases and are much more limited than UDT. If we were to add all of the UDT…

The frustration with long standing requests is certainly warranted. I can also guarantee that these types of threads are highly visibile within the company at all levels. Steve, your concern about new features before fully maturing existing ones is something that is definitely becoming more apparently recently. We are a…

Thanks for the screenshots David. IPAM does not currently recognize the supernet, but I've logged a feature request for this. Mav

Thanks for sticking with us on this StealthNet, I hope other customers will benefit from your persistence and I apologize it took so long to get us straightened out :-) Mav

Jon, Are you aware that we shipped an RC for IPAM 1.7 this week? I'm happy to provision this to you if your IPAM license is current. I'll send you an email directly with more information. Once you try it out, feel free to update this thread with your opinion. Here is the RC forum: Mav

Sorry about your delay Jon, but I'm glad it's working for you now!

Karl, I have emailed you directly offline to provide the steps to upload your diagnostics to me. I will make sure they get to development. If we knew why this was happening we would certainly provide why it is. Unfortunately we don't have enough information at this time. Once we know what the problem is, we will definitely…

rao000 and bleearg13, this is something we have heard before and something we are considering, but we are not actively working on it. See the "What we are working on" post to see those active items.

IPs that are reserved will changed to Used when something responds on them (or if you manually change it).

This is in the database. You will need to either make the change in SQL Management Studio or with the Database Manager we ship with. As a disclaimer, if you are not familiar with SQL, it's probably not a good idea for you to change anything in the database directly.

If you enable duplicate subnets, this means that you can create a new subnet that covers the same address range. It really is a different subnet so when you update an address it only updates the address in the one subnet you changed, not the "duplicate" one. A request we hear occasionally is to be able to create views that…

These are in your customer portal (if you are an existing customer). It it also included in the download package. To get it directly, use this URL http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/UDT-v1.0.0-HotFix1.zip

Although this thread has been opened for a while we haven't forgotten it. You may have noticed our introduction of the Multiple Object Chart. Today it only supports graphing multiple properties of Nodes, Interfaces, and Volumes. We are looking at extending this to support UnDPs. I realize this isn't really anything…

So everyone else is aware. We released a Hotfix for the issue with AES support. You can download it from your customer portal and it will be included in all future releases. Thanks to everyone who worked to help us track down the issue! Mav

a.narayanpu, If a device exports NetFlow (v5 or v9), we can report on it, regardless of the device. I have not heard of any issues collecting flows from a 2951. Cisco does not support exporting on many of their switches (such as the 3750 and Catalyst 2900s). But this is a problem with what Cisco supports, not SolarWinds. I…

Thanks for sticking with us on this one. Let me dig a little deeper on our side, then I will provide more information.

CaptainOrion, If you click File -> Configure then click the Server Bindings tab, you can specify which addresses to listen on. By default, it listens on all of them. Does this help?

This is something we are actively working on. If you would like to provide some UI feedback, please send me a private message and we can chat off of thwack for more details. Mav
