Hi! (fyi. I've been working with Network Topology Manager and its IP's agree with NPM.) I added a subnet to IPAM that wasn't there, and now one of the missing IP addresses is showing up (.10). However, another one (.9) is still not showing up. The settings for this subnet are 'No DNS server', "update but not erase manually…

Hi! Sorry for the delay, but we are now upgraded to a server 2012 with the latest Orion Platform 2014.2.1, SAM 6.1.1, QoE 1.0, IPAM 4.2, NCM 7.3.2, NPM 11.0.1, NTA 4.0.3, IVIM 1.10.0 However, these processes (Oracle running on Linux) are still throwing false down alerts. The SNMP poller (SolarWinds.APM.Probes.dll.config…

Another tidbit, although the UnDP are stored as UTC in the CustomPoller... tables, SW appears to converted them to localtime on the GUI custom poller charts and when they're exported (as expected).

Thanks! As I suspected, the APM_HardwareItem_Detail file is now summarizing the results at every 4 minutes because of the change I made to "Adjusted the statistics collection to every 4 minutes (instead of 10) so it doesn't look like the warning was lasting 10 minutes. [It seemed to "average" the 5 statuses together, such…

Where's the "Unlike" button? (Thanks aLTeReGo for the answer. Hopefully the new web report designer in NPM 10.6 can handle it.)
-
Both .. as the template and the application. I'll let you know if SAM 6.1.1 corrects it. (I'm not sure when we'll be able to install this.)

Got it. In other words, the 'Event Summary' includes the children/component events for the node. Unfortunately, I'm not liking the way this is formatted.

We ran the exctrlst.exe to make sure PerfProc was not disabled. There were other things to try further down, but we didn't try any of them yet. But, there is an app called ColdFusion 9 loaded on the offending machines & I found an article http://forums.adobe.com/thread/903108 stating that it could be the offender. The fix…

I've had issues in the past with an alert not firing because the reset condition was true right away. If you chose 'reset when trigger conditions are no longer true' try the other option. I normally have to adjust the NOT and parenthesis.

Hi @jbaulsir! Do you know if this was fixed in a later version? We're on NPM 10.6.1 Orion 2013.2.1 and SW is reporting CPU of 100% (Linux 4 CPU box). I added your UnDP and it's coming up 100% too, but when I use the processes explorer, it's showing 16%. The application owner doesn't see any issues on the machine either.…

Orion Platform 2013.2.1, SAM 6.0.2, IPAM 4.1, NCM 7.2.2, NPM 10.6.1, NTA 3.11.0, IVIM 1.9.0 I tried the alias, but it didn't work. I also posted in your exact SQL and received the same error. p.s. I saw in another post about downloading a newer version of SWQL Studio from the SDK. I can't find an exe on the polling server…

Thanks. I'm not sure I fully understand your reply (yet). Now that you explained where NPM is getting its information, the piece I seem to be missing is how IPAM is gather its information which could cause the discrepancies?

Steven, I'm getting the same error id#. Would you like to take a look at it? http://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/57209

Will this address my issue too? http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/197944#197944

I'm assuming that since the trigger is based on table F5 Device, when the trigger fires it only stores the F5 Device# in the alert table. Then it uses it to perform the reset query. [In a perfect world, you need it to store the pool# stored too.] So, based on your current reset query, if it finds any pool belonging to the…

I think it refreshing immediately. I've changed several more reports (taking time to make sure I was testing the right one) and it appears to be updating immediately.

#1 - I'll have to check with someone else. My browser is locked down and I can't see these settings. #2 - yes.

I assume you noticed one URL was thwack.com (the one with the error) and the other was thwack.solarwinds.com (that worked). If I remove the leading information "https://ip/Orion/External.aspx?Title=thwack&URL=" and just use: http://thwack.com/orion/default.aspx it redirects the page to:…

Sorry. We only have IE available and I don't have rights to install other software. When I followed your email link this morning, I was able to log right in. I'll see how it works tomorrow.

Was this change implemented in version 2013.1.0 & NPM 10.5? If so, it doesn't appear to be working. Now the web page isn't sorting the data at ALL yet, the hyperlink is still there ... and it doesn't sort either. The report sorts correctly in the report writer app (non-web version). We attempted to install SolarWinds…

If you use the UnDP above (Net-SNMP), change the advanced options from type "Counter" to "Rawdata". See CPU Load at 100% but is really 16% for set-snmp Linux server.

Update: After another upgrade was applied (Orion Platform 2013.2.1, SAM 6.0.2, IPAM 4.1, NCM 7.2.2, NPM 10.6.1, NTA 3.11.0, IVIM 1.9.0), the URLs reverted again back to HTTP. So, I updated the website table, again. It's working again. Why can't this be added to the upgrade installation?

Windows Authentication / Passthrough is enabled, because I don't have to login (using my id) to the console. Other issue, that is probably related, is when the console session times out, you can't log back in. It doesn't like our id/passord. Someone thought it was actually trying to log into the server. As a workaround, we…

Well that didn't take long. We would like to adjust the 'Target - Total Server Memory' setting, but it's not letting me. Plus, since it's greyed out, I can't even scroll the description to read it.

We followed KB300956 to rebuild the counters and it did not work. When trying to do the section 're-add the extensible counters', there were no .ini files found when doing the findstr command. Is that normal? Our system admin then re-applied service pack1 and we still do not have any counters.

We changed the GetBulk to GetNext, which seemed to help some, but we're still getting false down alerts. I turned on the application logging and have some information to share. (Once approved, I'll attach the entire log file.) These WARN entries looked particularly interesting. They are not in the log which did not report…

More info, for my documentation purposes. Node id: 323, App: 139, Component: 985; process 14175 I scanned the log folder for 2013-10-25 14 & found the following: * In the Core.Collector.Jobs_[10556].log, we see a lot of these errors. 2013-10-25 14:45:54,358 [15] ERROR Main - Error Creating Socket!, Error: 10047 2013-10-25…
