I will update my instructions - You do need to login and create an SaaS account to get the API token for Platform connect. Without this account you cannot connect all of the different parts of Solarwinds together. Make sure the account you use also has email attached to it. Enjoy!

Where do we find this token? I hooked up our Observability and would like to connect DPA and our Lab but I need a token to connect and everything says to login to SaaS to get the token but we are not running SaaS.

My issue is I was trying to use a custom property for a node not a custom property for an interface. Once I realized that this was easy. Thank you again!!!

Custom Property and try to group the interfaces via Custom property. I have an alert setup that monitors our 10GB connections between data centers so I bet if I look at that custom property that would be a decent start. Thanks!!

I took a look at what I was doing and decided to start with Tagging log events. I was using the event ID to see if that worked but I found out all the Bitvise events all are 4097 so that would not work. I went into the message and the Data 1 area and used "user authentication rejected" and was able to Tag these events. I…

Are there instructions on this somewhere? This is really confusing and everything I find says "connect to SaaS" and we do not have SaaS. And this always times out. I am assuming I need to connect it somewhere?

I am a bit confused. Do we need Observability SaaS to use the AI Agent? Most of the instructions I find say "connect to SaaS" to use the Agent but what if we do not have SaaS? Does the AI Agent not work? If someone has a link to documentation that I am missing that would be great. Thanks!

I hit send and figured it out - "refresh_token":"put your token here" Now to figure out how to get the DPA self-signed cert so I can API from Observability to DPA.

If you go to a Node > Properties after Custom Properties for the node you will find Active Directory Domain Controller. This will bring users into UDT.

I stopped all of the services and ran msiexec /i "C:\programdata\Solarwinds\Installers\MIBSv2.msi" and it worked. I will give this a try in Production when I update prod. Thanks!!! Well it installed and now my test environment is borked. Looks like I will stay away from updating the MIB database.
