I belive he was referring to the Orion Mapmaker- I dont' think this is possible in IpMonitor. You can try to change the view to show Red/Green exclusively...by going to the Devices Tab- >NOC view -> Select the group you want to view (managed devices) and Details View. Not perfect but maybe this will work?

please clarify the error - I'm not sure what you are asking.

Bruce- There is a Hotfix 3 for NTA 2.2 that addresses your issue due out ASAP. I'll contact support and see if they can get you a pre-release-

I apologize if I have a misunderstanding but I believe you can accomplish this with Basic alerts. When you test the alert, you must select the volume to test. First select the node and then click the radial button two rows below and select the volume. If don't select a volume you'll get the ${VolumePercentUsed}…

Put another way, to suppress the server ping alerts when the ping on the external firewall IP goes down do I need to explicitly add the firewall ping as a dependency on the server device? To suppress alerting under these conditions you would need to add the firewall ping as a dependency.

To further troubleshoot this issue would it be possible for you to run the Diagnostic Tool and get the results to Support?Go to: C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds and open the web.config file with notepad. All Orion modules have to be on the Primary poller.

The status for your ticket is that it still under investigation. Due to the randomness of this problem they are having difficulty reproducing this behavior enough to isolate the cause. I know this isn't an answer that you had hoped for. How is your environment setup? Is the DB on a separate server? Sans or cluster? From…

...I only want administrators to be able to view the configs, which is a custom property. IE, Admins get to see everything, users can NOT see the "Config Listing" that I added to "Node Detail Reports". When I go into the "Select Limitation Type", I don't see anything that will allow me to limit accounts to what I want,…

Using an SL100 you will be good for a long time. It depends on how aggressive you keep the monitoring settings and how long you want to keep the historical data.

Yes, then the user should only need to be the db_owner role.

Something got hosed with the power loss. Pull some diagnostics and look around, go to C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarWindsDiagnostics.exe . Running this program will create a .zip file that you can review. This might be caused by the fact that the main Orion server can't connect to the database so look for any…

no, you'll need to delete or un-manage those devices from Orion NPM.

This issue will addressed in 9.1- The workaround is to open the custom property editor and editing a single one which should set them all to the proper default.

In order to understand the problem completely I would suggest running the SW diagnostics tool and attaching the results to a Support ticket. The Diagnostics Utility can be found in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe [assuming the default install path]. I have not seen that error often and speculate…

Is this with netflow version 9 or version 5? It seems something is not configured correctly - you might want to open a support ticket to troubleshoot.
