I currently have a few cases open - the worst of these (Case # 16762) was opened more than a year ago with Orion 7.5 - after beeing constantly ignored by Solarwinds support I reopened the case (#35581) after upgrading to Orion v8 in marts 2008 - I'm still waiting to hear from Solarwinds support. I've looked into the case…

Thanks- they are investigating this now. You are the first to report a re-occurrence since SP3.
-
for now yes the Content selector is being changed. You will have to just use the Options tab -
-
Try running the website portion of the Configuration Wizard. If no luck then will need to dig deeper.
-
You have to add the custom poller to your node view. So go in the Admin Page -> Manage Views then create a new View for a node that has a custom poller. Once your in the view you can go under Node Gauge or Node Chart and select custom poller.
-
Which error are you referring too?
-
Re-run the Config Wizard and overwrite the Website- create a new one.
-
Could you please attach the packet capture for your SSH session in addition to the Cirrus session traces to your original support ticket. Thanks

Still no luck on that link Some clarification here. There never was a link. The author of this thread posted a bad link which has a ; at the end of it.The link refers to the Release Notes of the most current product version 8. The v9 features have never been posted in a doc. The source of this bad url link stems from the…

When the DB was moved - something did not get synced correctly - All you need to do is verify which Engine ID these alerts are reflecting in the DB. Below is a query you can run to update the alerts table in the database. Make sure you stop all services prior to doing this, as otherwise the database changes will not take.…

I would suggest re-opening the support ticket you had and provide some new diagnostics with it.

Workaround: Attached is a replacement .dll if you are having issues with the Orion poller stopping and starting in Orion 8.1. Note that this fix will likely create issues with SNMPv3 polling. (the same SNMPv3 issues we had in 8.0.x) This is a temp fix – as mentioned the hotfix will be out very soon. Directions- Stop the…

I would contact support and have a tech look into this further.

Does that plixer http://www.systrax.com/ site look like a rip-off of Thwack! or what? "High Powered Network Management" -- hmmm? Where did I here that before???? Don Yes it does. Thwack is often imitated, but never duplicated.
-
Hi Denny, Any updates on the issue? Regards Not at this time- this is still being investigated
-
I would first try running the config. wizard to see if this helps. Regarding the repair, nothing extraneous is required, just doing the repair on your Orion install should take a few seconds- If this does not resolve the blank alerts then you should open a support ticket.
-
Sorry for your frustration. the swtoolset.exe is part of the Orion install as part of the Toolset\Orion integration. If you have not already you may also want to send Support the install logs which can be foundhere C:\Documents and Settings\[user the program installed under]\Application Data\SolarWinds\ In that directory…

There is an issue with Hotfix 2 & SSL. It will be fixed in 8.5.1 which will be about 2 weeks time, so try this workaround. Edit \Inetpub\Solarwinds\Orion\custom.config and change the port to 443.

I've stopped and started resources on the server and I've even rebooted the server and I cannot get the reports to show up on the web. What am I doing wrong? Have you tried to manually copy the file: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\OrionReportWriter.Schema to the webserver?
-
yes, just the website portion.
-
Would the bottom post apply to your situation- Possibly a custom property duplicate?
-
I'm curious to see what this report is you have and also to review your diagnostics files. Please submit them with your ticket.
