Is there any reason that these missions only show up sometimes in the (Contests & Missions ) section of the website? That's my main bookmark where I check first. Thanks!
-
I don't think it is currently possible to change the default view. That would be nice. Check out my feature request though, which would probably help your case ->>

I am very surprised that this does not have more votes. I was going to put in a feature request before I saw this. This is a huge design blunder and I can't believe that it hasn't been remedied.
-
I am completely with you on that. It needs to be fixed. I can't believe that in 2018 this is still the way to get images into the FAQ. Since I posted that, I've actually discovered that this method isn't even a viable workaround. Everything looks good on the tech side of things, but when you go on the client side and…

I know this is 4 years later, but for anyone struggling with this (as I was) here are the steps to this: (1) Under attachments click "Add File" and choose your png or jpg file from your computer. (2) Click Save (on the faq itself) (3) Right click on the link for your new attachment and click "copy link address." The whd…

WHD sort of has this already, though the box pops up automatically and you can't just hover it to view it. Except whoever wrote those detailed instructions needs to learn their colors
-
I don't believe so because he would have had to switch it back to I.T. (from Communications) to even get to one of the request types that has the request type hidden. We are on the newest. I'm thinking it is just a limitation of the software design.

I am not sure exactly what you mean so I will try to answer it in a few ways. Using the method described (May 11th post) above, the images will be shown as attachments and inline images in the FAQ. If you host them elsewhere (using imgur for example) they will appear only as inline images in the FAQ. In any event, I don't…

DanielleH, would you be able to post (or tag) the missions in theContests & Missions page? That's where I normally go for quick access to the current and past missions. Thanks!
-
Are you referring to the "Request Detail" field? If so, all you have to do when setting up tasks is "inherit" the request detail field from the parent.
-
Good suggestion! I would overhaul the whole parts/inventory section as well. I liked the idea of it but gave up on it pretty early.
-
Question: Me:
-
DanielleH Can you please tag the mission like the April mission so it shows up in the Contests & Missions page that I have bookmarked? Thanks!
-
This is the link that I use to get to the missions. I have it bookmarked: Contests & Missions
-
Oh I found it right away. The question doesn't really have an answer, though, just more of a fill in the blank. The "answer" to a question like that is yes or no. I just thought it was funny.
-
This can already be done. Under Setup > Tickets > Tasks: You can set up a ticket to automatically be created on the 20th of each month and you can specify the request type, technician, etc.

We graduated to cloud backups thanks to Solar Winds Backup & Recovery!
-
Faster ISP speeds (without having to pay for it) and no downtime or slowness for December (busiest month)!!
-
Thanks for your reply. I know that for I.T. requests, some have request detail hidden by design. However, the problem actually originated on the communication requests tech group. I double checked all of their requests types and non have the hide request detail box checked.
-
Agreed. I have always found it strange, and also very limiting, that the order of custom fields in the list of custom fields determines the order that they show up in the ticket where those custom fields are used.
-
Great request. This would help us out too. This is the kind of stuff that should be easy to implement (since you can achieve this via email already with the system) but just gets overlooked.
-
While it is likely to never ever happen, I think someone coming through our building and severing all of our existing Ethernet lines would be the worst.

-
If you are sending a note inside a ticket, the image will show up in an email if you click the button inside the note and insert the URL of the image. If you just attach the picture using the "Add File" button then the image will not show in the email - only a link to it.

No problem, happy to help! Thanks, I would think so too. Hopefully this is something that is addressed in the next update, or at least the one after that, as I think it could benefit many current customers and also be a good selling point to prospective ones. Especially because many other help desk solutions already have…

100% agree that "My Tickets" would become worthless in that case. I haven't really found a way to hide sub-tickets but that would be a neat feature. Like a drop down as you mentioned. The only possible workarounds that I can think of for clearing up your my tickets (unfortunate that we have to use workarounds for this)…
-
Sometimes. Though it helps to tag them! milan.hulik are there any plans to fix this issue in the next update? We don't use WMI discovery because of this issue, and support hasn't been able to help - mostly, I think, because it's an actual software bug and/or poor design.
-
Sorry, I realize now that I didn't provide the full steps, only the relevant steps once you are in the helpdesk portal itself. It's been a few years since I set it up but I think this is right. (1) Add an entry in your DNS settings. Right click on your forward lookup Zone and choose new Host. Type in the name "helpdesk"…

No problem. Glad to be of assistance!
