As it turns out, you've identified an issue we need address in our code with respect to collapsing historical data. We've logged it... thanks! -Craig
-
gbarret, This is definitely a scenario we'd like to manage more gracefully in a future release. Until we can address this, have you checked out Microsoft's recommended failover configuration? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc778572(WS.10).aspx HTH,Craig

Good deal... glad you got it working! -Craig
-
I think we've reached the point of diminishing returns for troubleshooting this with you on thwack. Someone from the Dev team will be reaching out to schedule a GoTo with you so we can review your settings firsthand and troubleshoot the issue. -Craig
-
Request noted... thanks for the feedback.
-
Thanks for confirming, Dave! Glad to hear this resolved your issue. We are actively looking into your graph issue as well.
-
Questionario, I think these are all reasonable suggestions, and I'd like to discuss them with you in more detail. We will be wrapping up the dev phase of our current release in the coming weeks, after which I will reach out to you and schedule a phone call. Thanks for the feedback! -Craig
-
Chiming in late here, but I think this is a good suggestion, and one we can look at for a future release. I've logged this as a feature request. -Craig
-
NinjaNerd56- I'd like to better understand your request. Are you asking for the ability to tie specific sound files to specific alerts? -Craig
-
More detailed screenshots would be great. Send them to craig.mcdonald@solarwinds.com. Thanks! Craig

Dan, Thanks for posting. When we transitioned the product from the old VoIP Monitor to the new IP SLA Manager we attempted to ensure we didn't lose any functionality as well as make sure you didn't lose any of your configurations during the migration; obviously this is an area where we fell short. That's the bad news. The…

david1970- Making Alert Suppression and defining dependencies between nodes easier and more intuitive is definitely still on our roadmap, but we don't have any timeframes we can commit to right now. -Craig
-
dhardy- When you run it at the command line, it runs as you. When it runs as an actual alert, it runs in the context of the Alerting Engine. By default, that’s Local System. Psexec uses your Windows identity to contact the remote system. “Local System” doesn’t have rights on SQLServerName. You have a few options: 1. Add…

Mithrandir, Unfortunately, this isn't a valid workaround; there isn't a single service that you can start and stop for subnet scanning. This issue will be fixed in the next release of IPAM.
-
Here is the new template. We'll be releasing a SP soon that includes it. HTH, Craig
-
DGoodale, Sorry for the delayed reply. This issue will be addressed in the next release. We won't be writing anything to the startup config; however we will periodically check for the responder's status and re-enable it again when necessary. This should occur a few minutes after a router is rebooted. HTH, Craig
-
Thanks, Slinky! I have logged this as a feature request. -Craig
-
Nothing we can speak to, but this thread is old enough and long enough that we're taking a closer look at what it would take to get this implemented.
-
Understood. Someone from SolarWinds should be contacting you if they haven't already.
-
Thanks for the clarification. With Report Writer, you've got everything but the bar graphic in the '% IP SPACE USED' column; however, as your screenshot shows, we can still display the actual percentage. Is this what you're asking about... the bar graphic in your first screenshot? -Craig
-
Regarding the options you see when manually configuring an operation on the router, which of these options do you find useful, and what do you use them for? Regarding modifying the GUI to include a tab for each IP SLA operation type... we have operation groupings in the product today on the Summary page; why would tabs be…
-
paper, I'm afraid this is not something we currently support. The variables available to you are limited to what's listed in the documentation. -Craig
-
I would suggest opening a support ticket and reference this thwack post. In the meantime, could you please post some screenshots of how you have these alerts configured in the Alert Manager?
-
Dave is correct. You need IP SLA Manager to create and manage IP SLA operations with Orion (the APM module is for application monitoring). IP SLA Manager currently supports the operations below. Are there other operations you'd like to see the product support? * HTTP – Measure the round-trip time to access a Web page * FTP…
-
Hi Todd, Custom properties and/or reporting on tags are still not available in APM. -Craig
-
Understandable. It would help if you could walk me through the steps of how you would envision being able to accomplish this without having to create each report individually. This is an interesting idea... -Craig
-
Cosmin, Sorry for the delay in responding; I will have an answer for you shortly. -Craig
-
Doug, Please go ahead and open a support ticket and reference this thwack post. -Craig
-
Thanks for trying, jagillispie. At this point go ahead and open a support ticket. I've entered this as a bug (FB190604), and will associate that bug with your support ticket once you've opened it so we can take a closer look. -Craig
-
Good to know. Sorry we don't currently support what you're specifically trying to do. Glad you found something that worked!
