Thanks for the feedback, John. We're already tracking this is a feature request. -Craig

Hi Stephen, The desire to see a more detailed product roadmap before purchasing is completely understandable. Our best effort at satisfying this requirement for customers is articulated in the 'What We're Working On' post above. In other words, the information above is the extent to which we're actually allowed to talk…

It's been a while since I wrote this post, so I'm not sure. I would suggest giving it a try; please let us know if it works. -Craig

Hi Mustafa, That is absolutely not the case. We have and will continue to invest in WPM which is encompassed in the items listed in this post. We'd love to hear your feedback on what we're working on for the next version. Are there any particular features or enhancements you're specifically interested in? Once we have a…

I think *most* of the comments here are fair, and everyone's frustrations are understandable. It has been some time since we've released an update for WPM, and the skepticism in everyone's posts is to be expected until we have a time frame or bits available to you. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to communicate time…

No worries, manual activation isn't going away and will continue to work as it always has. That said, there is room for improvement with this process as well, especially for customers with large numbers of licenses or seats that don't have internet access. Although there won't be any changes or improvements to the offline…

You bet. The Patch Manager forums are here:

Apologies for the late notice. We put this one together pretty quickly so the blog post was admittedly last minute. Shoot me an email at craig.mcdonald@solarwinds.com and I can send you a link to the recording and slides. -Craig

Sorry for the delayed reply; I missed this one. Yes, the MA server typically sits behind the firewall. We actually have a white paper that specifically discusses security around the MA server and client interaction here.
-
Thanks to everyone for the candid comments and responses. We hear you loud and clear, and can't wait to show you what we're working once we're ready!

Different solution altogether, although there is some overlap. PageGate is more of an ad-hoc notification system. Mobile Admin is a mobile management and monitoring solution. For example, let's say AD administration falls under your purview. Mobile Admin can alert you on your mobile device when a user is locked out of…

You can find a Datasheet and other collateral here that should help you make your case. Hope this helps, Craig

Geoo, please reference this thwack thread in your ticket. jspilde, no new updates. Cisco has not added support for that MIB on older devices. -Craig
-
kb1lxm and byrona, As Jiri suggested, if you are somehow able to reproduce this or isolate it some of the conditions under which it is occurring, please open a support ticket and we can investigate. Thanks! Craig
-
rsprim- Greg and I reviewed your document and it looks great; thanks for sharing! I think other users would find this useful. Can you post it in the Content Exchange? Also, thanks for the suggestions. We hear you loud and clear. -Craig
-
manjuap, We are investigating. -Craig

I checked your ticket and it looks like Dev is actively working on this with support. Hopefully we'll have a resolution for you soon. -Craig

We don't currently have an auto-login feature for clients connecting to the Central Server. Great suggestion though, and I've added it as a feature request (342291). I don't quite understand your second question. DameWare Remote Support is the client you will install on your laptop. Upon initial installation of v11 you'll…

Thanks for the feedback. This is still a topic that's discussed quite frequently internally, but nothing we can commit to at this point in time. Keep the comments coming. -Craig
-
You'll need the v11 client to connect to the new v11 Central Server. Which license server are you referring to? Are you referring to the DW Central Server, or the SolarWinds licensing server against which you'll activate your license?

Glad to hear! We've actually received several requests to add additional filtering rules to IP SLA operations and node management. I will definitely add this one to the list. Thanks for being patient and working with us, warbird! -Craig
-
Impaler - yes, please, let us know if you manage to figure this out. However, if I understand correctly what you're trying to do, we're working on some changes for a future release that will allow you to specify different interfaces on a router when creating IP SLA operations.
-
Ovad, I would suggest opening a support ticket if you haven't already.
-
Andrew, You are correct; IP SLA Manager is the new version of the old VoIP module for Orion. IP SLA is actually a Cisco technology, and is only supported on Cisco devices.

Hi Aaron, Thanks for the detailed post. As it turns out, we have a fix in an upcoming service pack. We will also be updating our KB so it is more accurate based on that fix. -Craig
-
Thanks for the feedback; clearly this would be useful. I know this request has been out there for a while now, but it's still definitely something we'd like to do when priorities permit. -Craig
-
Got it... thanks!
-
We are thinking about it, although we haven't committed it to a release yet. I've emailed the three of you on this thread to discuss this request in more detail. Stay tuned... -Craig
-
Unfortunately, that is correct. The KB applies only to versions prior to v8.

Just to clarify about what APM can monitor in terms of Oracle and SQL, APM has an Oracle template that monitors the following statistics: available free space, available continuous free space, buffer cache hit ratio, dictionary cache hit ratio, library cache hit ratio, available free memory, sort ratio (disk vs. free…
