Hi,
Has anyone any information when the HP Procurve Wireless AP and ZL modules will be fully supported in the Wireless application. I am holding out purchasing as the environment does not seem to fully support HP equipment.
Thanks
Julian
We have no firm dates now for these devices but I am very interested in knowing what you would like to be able to see/manage.
Andy
Hi Andy,
Ok this is a shame no firm dates as from what I can see the wireless modules provdes us with some good presentatable information. Today I use the HP HTTP Management page for the Wireless modules and I could use HP PCM going forward, however the information that I've seen from the demo would be great to have this available for the HP sidde.
I think Solarwinds can present it very well, while I do have this information in the HP Wireless management tool it's not in a friendly presentation and I cannot link it nicely into the other capabilities of Orion like reporting etc or trigger alarms.
Is there a reason why Procurve has not been considered as a high prority for the tool
Hi Julian,
Adding more vendor support is high priority. I am considering adding Procurve along with several others.
Andy,
Whatever I can do to persuade you let me know. Once I have this in the product I can move ahead and purchase it. Not sure if it would be in the wireless app or not but these devices support Sflow as well so would be good to support
Thanks for looking
How about support for HP Procurve Wireless AP and ZL in 9.5?
We have been waiting for the wireless module to support those for years now...Upgraded to 9.5 but still no more support for those than in Wireless module v8.
Are these on the roadmap to be supported in Orion?
We are looking into adding additional support in a future release. It primarily depends on demand from ya'll the community. We have heard a few request for HP, a couple for Trapeze and one for a couple other vendors here and there.
In that case may I re-iterate my request for you to support the HP zl moudles

This has been requested for a long time. At the moment because we are mainly HP the wireless module is useless. Can we expect a hard deadline on this.
Brandon,
UWSP is also a HP shop and we would like to see Solarwinds include the full HP product line into NPM. Especially all switches and Wireless APs and Controllers.
Ernie
Switches should be good today, if you find something, please let us know. Thick AP's, as long as it supports the 802dot11 MIB it should also be good. In regards to the Controllers/Thin AP's I will add you to the existing enhancement request
I gather that IP SLA is the new version of the old VoIP module. Does it suport HP wireless kit out of the box?
Andrew
Andrew,
You are correct; IP SLA Manager is the new version of the old VoIP module for Orion. IP SLA is actually a Cisco technology, and is only supported on Cisco devices.
