Gareth and Dirty, Three suggestions: * For any Exchange monitor issues, I'd recommend trying the new Exchange templates I posted in the Content Exchange here. I've written a blog post on these new templates here. * For any Process monitors using WMI or Windows Service monitors using WMI, try changing the fetching method to…

MrSampsonite, Did you try opening a support ticket? -Craig
-
I just emailed you with the details. :-)
-
Sorry, nothing we can speak to at this time.
-
No dates; however, this is still something we're considering.
-
This is the first request for this type of functionality I've seen. If there are others, please speak up. I have logged this as a feature request. Thanks for the feedback, NinjaNerd56.
-
Thanks! We'll take a look. -Craig
-
Could one of you describe to me the specific use case you're trying to accomplish? If I'm reading correctly, you want to be alerted when you can no longer reach the device via SNMP but you know the device is up... is that accurate? Thanks! Craig
-
This is fantastic. Looks like you've been moonlighting as a UI designer. :-) Seriously though, this is great feedback. -Craig
-
Questionario is correct; this is not possible in APM today. We've had many requests on the NPM side to graph multiple objects on the same graph, and this would be very similar. We are definitely tracking this as a feature request. HTH, Craig
-
Thanks for the clarification, mrxinu!
-
epenney, Go ahead and open a support ticket and reference this thwack post. -Craig
-
bschurr- You want to monitor an existing operation. chris.smouse explains how to do this here (I've also pasted it below). Once you have created the IPSLA operation manually on the router, make a note of the operation number. Then, go through the Add Operations wizard in IPSLA Manager. Instead of creating a new operation,…

Development was able to reproduce and determine this is indeed a bug; we have logged it and will fix in a future release. In the meantime, Support has sent you a workaround. Thanks for being patient with us. -Craig
-
I wanted to provide an update. Although we are having trouble reproducing the issue, Development is actively working your case. -Craig
-
I checked your support ticket, and it looks like you just spoke with Ashley, who confirmed we received your diagnostics; we'll take a look at those today and keep you updated. -Craig

Does the packet loss happen around the same time of day? The one piece of information missing here is what the IP SLA operation is actually reporting on the router. If the router is reporting packet loss but NPM isn't, this issue is most like related to your network configuration. HTH, Craig
-
Hi Chandru, IP SLA Manager is an Orion module, so you will need to install on a box where you have Orion installed. However, IP SLA is a Cisco technology, so IP SLA Manager only works with Cisco devices.
-
DougB_NYC, Not sure why you're getting NULL values. I would recommend opening a support ticket so we can start tracking the issue. Please reference this thwack post when you open the ticket. Thanks! Craig
-
warbird, Just checking in to see if renaming the operations worked for you. -Craig
-
GGray, Was this operation created manually on the device, or did you use IP SLA Manager to create the operation? Thanks! Craig
-
Please open a support ticket so we can track this along with the others. Thanks, Craig
-
Thanks, Daniel. You and I have discussed this offline. Anyone else in the thwack community think this would be useful? -Craig
-
Chandru- mcbridea's suggestion is your best bet. It is not currently possible to include this information in an alert, although it's an enhancement we've been thinking about. I've logged this request. -Craig
-
dricha07 and the_toilet, Thanks for your feedback. When designing 3.1, we had numerous requests for being able to specify the source IP/interface on an operation, but this is the first we've heard of needing the ability to specify the target interface as well. We will look at adding this to a future release. Thanks! Craig
-
Glad to hear things have improved with the service release. Definitely interested to hear how things go in productions. -Craig
-
Unfortunately, we can't provide timeframes, but it's actively being worked on.
-
Good feedback... thanks!

nizzyk, The next release of DameWare introduces a Central Server component that centralizes licensing. In your case you would point the MRC client to the Central Server vs. having to deal with activation on the actual client. If you're on active maintenance then you should have the Central Server Release Candidate in your…

Byron, Yes, we'd either have to build a new monitor, or rework the existing one to support your use case. Regardless, it's a feature request, and I've logged it. -Craig
