Couldn't dameware intercept the CTRL+V and take the characters you have in the clipboard and just execute them quickly one at a time via the keyboard interface / driver?

What about if they are on the same operating system version? For example I am trying this out for 30 days but I can't get anywhere. It says "The server has the required certificates for publishing. There is a version mismatch between the WSUS server API version 6.3.9600.16384 and the WSUS client API version:…

Found it go to view > local global options, then uncheck Name Resolution Conflict Check near the bottom fo that General Options tab.

We can test the packages thats no problem. If you just put them in there I can approve just to a small test group. Does that help take some of the burden off your team? Its not a problem working together on this. Maybe not all companies have the time to test (they really should but I get it...) so maybe a checkbox in a…

We've installed the newest dameware with newly signed code and this is still a very frustrating problem. Has anyone moved on to other remote control software and if so which platform did you move to?
-
Has anyone successfully migrated from SolarWinds patch manager to PDQDeploy? We are thinking of going that route since the hack and eh hem.... lack of attention to these updates and this post.

Yup that worked, now my other machine that had an issue was able to find Firefox ESR 64bit via windows update. Issue seems to be that C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe already existed. Though it was the 64-bit NON ESR, so I want that GONE. Adding the additional line version checked the file. Here is the xml…

Ok, well I am testing this command line argument first for Java 8 to see it it removes the old java 8 updates, then I have to see if they backported this for java 7. /s REMOVEOUTOFDATEJRES=1 Installing With a Configuration File Edit, it works, but it uninstalls every Java, including 7 and 6. I'll have to see if my EMC…

Ok I got this package that I made "Mozilla Firefox 60.1.0 (x64) ESR" to apply to modifying the Applicability rules. The last line was File Exists (NOT) PROGRAM_FILES ..\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe I filled in the version field 60.1.0.6746 instead of leaving it blank. The issue is that what if there is an…

Ok I updated Patch Manager from 2.1.3 to 2.1.5 and now it works great. It seemed to be a bug that was fixed in 2.1.5 about continuing on error (where pacakgeboot would get an msi 1605 code on the GUID's for java versions not existing on the machine). We're all good. So back to the original question, do most of you approve…

Nope, Microsoft is @ss backwards. They didn't even release RSAT tools for Windows 10 yet. Until they do so I cannot update my workstation because using remote server administration tools with runas is far easier than multiple RDP sessions or vSphere client sessions to servers.

Ok between the ciphers above, and I checked, its running Tomcat version 7.0.59, so no upgrade was necessary to be able to change the protocol="HTTP/1.1" to"org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol". The site is internal only so I can't double check with SSL Labs, but running sslyze shows TLS enabled with decent ciphers…

I'm not sure whats wrong. I can get it to install on some pc's and can't get it on others. I tried pushing it on a test VM that has regular Firefox Quantum 60.0.1 (x64) since the ESR 64bit package of 60.1 just would not come up in Windows update, then I get this: Download Object: Mozilla Firefox 60.1.0 (x64) ESR Status:…

Package Manger changed it back to the 32 bit path. We really want to standardize and deploy the 64 bit version of Firefox Quantum ESR. I guess I will open a support ticket.

The clients are mostly version 8. Techs connecting are version 9 and I am testing version 10 myself. Though I don't believe this driver was causing the BSOD's we were experiencing. That seems to be resolved from deleting the FNTCACHE.DAT file which may have been corrupted by having Office 2010 installed but Lync 2013…

Ok I found it after trial and error. View > Local Global Options > uncheck Resize Window on Connect. Again this language did not make it clear to me this was what needed to be checked off. Not sure what triggers a resize, but with Smart Sizing you really don't need 1:1 pixel mapping. My main monitor is 1920x1200 and my…

Hey we've had the same problem... very mixed results. Some update, some connect but get a warning that FIPS mode is not available, connect anyway, and some don't connect at all, meaning we then have to right click the dameware icon and run as administrator, supply domain admin credentials, then do a remove service and…

Hey how did you get to that screen?

Hi, is there a table somewhere that lists Product code for every single Java 6, 7 and 8 update? Like now we are on Java 8 update 101, but whats the code for the 100 other java 8 updates? So I have to do this over 100 times just to ensure java 8 is up to date, and when update 102, 103, 104, etc.. comes out keep adding more…

I turned on verbose msi logging and in my appdata %temp% directory an msi563d4.LOG was generated containing this: === Verbose logging started: 11/29/2017 13:15:25 Build type: SHIP UNICODE 5.00.10011.00 Calling process: C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\Install\packageboot.exe === MSI (c) (40:B0) [13:15:25:248]:…

Ok thank you, after playing around with it yes it seems to be working now. I am a tech and an admin so I found that in the techs my "admin" user name is used in there assigned to admin access to WHD. So when I log in as my regular AD user name and password, I can just open tickets basically. If I log in as my admin AD user…

We are very happy to see this! Thank you so much!

I have not had a chance to walk through this yet, but we are going to try to get on a call today 11 am est. I too can send test emails by going into the old flash interface > build > users. I checked the release notes for 6.7 and there is no mention of this issue. I think the notes need to be updated, an advisory posted or…

Will do because I am frustrated beyond belief. This program doesn't look like its maintained anymore either.

Ok just changing the ciphers line in C:\Program Files (x86)\WebHelpDesk\conf\tomcat_server_template.xml and restarting the service seemed to fix it. Chrome and firefox load the web help desk without balking at it. Out of the box the line read:…

I was able to create a new contact containing and add that to the rules. Supposidy a fix is under development, no ETA but the issue has some weight on it since sending alerts is part of what this product does. I think if you on-boarded with SEM/LEM prior to 6.2 days and created your users or contacts in one of those older…

Wow really Doesn't solarwinds representatives ever read and participate in these posts?

I've tried to download this on two different internet connections but it just spins and spins and spins.

If we have Firefox 60 ESR 64-bit pushed out, how do we maintain it with SolarWinds Patch Manager? Your ESR does not offer a 64 bit version. ESR is geared towards businesses, as patch manager is geared towards businesses (you wouldn't invest in patch manager for you home would you?). So this doesn't make sense why I'm not…

Please add Mozilla Firefox 60.1.0 ESR 64-bit for both install or upgrade. You only have 32-bit and the previous version 60.0.2. We would like to deploy the 64-bit version and try to come up with a way to wipe all previous Firefox in our environment. Currently we have a wild mix of 64bit, 32bit, quantum, 52.x.x esr, etc...…
