Hmmm.... I think that's correct. When I have a spare moment I'll see if I can do that. In the meantime, make sure that the report is available and working as you intended.

Yes, the CBQoS details are not available to be added to the Node Details view. However, I just determined that the CBQoS details view may have Node Details resources added. Kind of bass ackwards, but it will work. Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875…

You bet – In your flow exporter statement, add the following line: source Loopback1 I hope this fixes your issue. Ken Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875 kenneth.cohen@hyh.com<mailto:kenneth.cohen@hyh.com> Halyardhealth.com

Sorry, I missed the point you were trying to get across. The bottom line is that you have to have something do SNMP polling against the devices in your DMZ, and then get that data into NPM. I do not know of anything other than a SW poller that will do this function. I agree its $$$, but it will do what you want. As for the…

I beg to differ on UDP ports 161 / 162. The default, to my knowledge, for SNMP polling is TCP 161 / 162.

I have NTA and it works very well. I just want to report on the data it collects. Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875 kenneth.cohen@hyh.com<mailto:kenneth.cohen@hyh.com> Halyardhealth.com

I’m well aware, but this still doesn’t cut the mustard for international companies like mine. If you try build a report where the time crosses midnight it fails. I ended up building dual staged reports for these sites where the first ends at midnight and the next starts at midnight. It’s very clumsy and difficult to…

Hysterical - Oops, Historical for all stats. It appears that the percent utilization calculation is not using the defined bandwidth for the interface.

Hi, Fazl – Not to belabor the point, but you’re going to spend hours trying to make it work with SOAP when you could instead spend $40.00 US and have it working in a few minutes. Good luck! Ken Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875…

No, the SNMP configurations on the Cisco device. Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875 kenneth.cohen@hyh.com<mailto:kenneth.cohen@hyh.com> Halyardhealth.com

Would you please provide the model of the router and the software version?
-
I had a chance to do a bit of research, and I think the actual problem is the template you are using is not for the model of switch you have. For a 25xx switch you should be using sflow commands instead of the setmib commands. Here’s an article from PRTG on setting up sFlow on a 25xx, which will also apply to NTA.…

Good morning – I’m sure you converted the address correctly, but since it is critical let’s verify anyway. Your SolarWinds system’s IP is 120.120.12.189? The receiver port on your SolarWinds server is set to 6343? The other thing to remember with the data stream is that it is UDP. If there are any firewalls or routers with…

ok, so now you know that SNMP is available. You should be able to identify which interface is the VPN from its IP address, then create a poller for the corresponding counter. Does Sonic publish an MIB?
-
Could you draw it out? I'm not visualizing the layout in a way where this shouldn't work.

There's a thread on the "ghost" interface issue, and getting rid of them is a PITA. That's why I do what I can to prevent them.

Good morning - Here's where you go for Advanced Selector: I hope this helps. Ken

Are they already SNMP capable? If so, you may be able to do a SNMP Walk and get a head start on your poller
-
Hmmmm..... The fact that you are getting CBQoS data says that connectivity isn't the problem. Therefore, the problem must be in the configuration somewhere. Would you mind posting the pertinent statements as currently defined? Edit the IPs, of course...

Hi - I think you're using the older syntax. Here's my configs for the flow record, flow exporter and flow monitor: flow record SWR match ipv4 protocol match ipv4 source address match ipv4 destination address match transport source-port match transport destination-port match interface input match interface output collect…

I would start with an SNMP walk of that device (or a documentation check) to determine the MIBs it uses for hardware health (assuming it has them). Once you know the MIBs you can create a custom poller for them.

If TAC still hasn't come back with something useful, get your sales rep to escalate it. It shouldn't have been sitting this long.
-
Well, it would certainly help if I had read your original post correctly Just to be clear, you never installed Virtualization Manager, eval or otherwise? For whatever reason NPM thinks it is/was installed. Silly question - can you go into the server's program manager and check out what the server thinks is installed?
-
Good morning - Would it be possible to get a packet capture of the interface of the ASA?. That will tell you if the ASA is actually sending any data.

This situation reflects the fact that not all Resources are available in all Views. CBQoS detail Resources are not available in Node Detail views. Why, I cannot say… If I have a spare moment I’ll see if I can create a Custom view that includes Node Details as well as CBQoS Details. In the meantime, you may want to bring…

I think you're missing a Source definition in your exporter statement. For example, we use "Loopback 1" to ensure correct identification of every device in our monitoring.

I’m just glad you got it working. Kenneth W. Cohen Network Analyst Global Technical Services, IT Office: 470-448-5870 Mobile: 678-428-9875 kenneth.cohen@hyh.com<mailto:kenneth.cohen@hyh.com> Halyardhealth.com

The other possibility I've run into is an invalid SNMP community string. NPM will tell you that the device is up (via ICMP) but will not be able to poll it.

I had this situation at a previous employer, and after speaking with sales they issued me a new license with the total number. It was completely painless.
