yaquaholic, This is great. I was able to continue on with the table from my original post and based on what you said I was able to add the uptime. My table now has that unique looking string of numbers as the label, uptime, and the IP address (this works for me in distinguishing every line). This is something I will go…

yaquaholic, I forgot to ask one more thing, what happens if the EIGRP goes down? What will the uptime show? For example if the uptime lasts for 5 days and on the 6th day it goes down, what will be displayed, and once the EIGRP comes back up will the uptime commence from day 1 again or will it continue where it left off on…

yaquaholic, cEigrpUpTime (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449.1.4.1.1.6) shows up like you mentioned but for web display I click the to show a chart and the chart does not populate. Is there another way to make a chart of this uptime; I feel it would be easier to see when the connection goes down if the chart is not hanging at the uptime…

Thank you yaquaholic. I will give this a try.

Hi dkeyser, Thank you. I was able to locate the table. After seeing which table is taking up the most space and/or really big, how do I go about minimizing the size?
-
johnsja, Thank you for the visuals. So I have visited this area before and under "Available items" I do not have the "Performance Analysis" option to drag over. I checked and double checked and it's just not there. I am experimenting with the Evaluation version before I input a valid license; could this be why I don't have…

mavturner, I have not configured any of the devices to send syslogs. How and where would I go about doing that? I know you stated that this is basic but these are my beginning steps dealing with Solarwinds and SNMP. I will also send you the screenshot when I have the chance. Thank you in advance.

mesverrum, Thank you for your input. This spike only happened once and according to your explanation it seems like it was just a blip.

Good point rharland. I cannot remote desktop to this computer from my server. The PC is running Windows 10 Home Edition which I figure is part of the problem since what I researched to remote into Home editions is by sending an invite. Is there a workaround for this? Thank you in advance.

Thank you mesverrum, Seems that I had no discovery jobs created so no scans were being done. Links were helpful.

So the upgrade went smoother than I expected. This is what I did: 1) I created backups first. Full backups of my database, VMs, and even took Snapshots. I may have backed up more than I needed, but I wanted to be sure just in case. 2) I shut down all services in the Orion Service Manager on my main server. 3) Logged into…

Anyone?

Thank you for the reply mark. I will see what times are best for me to take. I hope the times are not catered to just one time zone.
-
Thank you mesverrum. I'll definitely look into this as well.
-
Thank you derik. Your assistance is always appreciated.
-
derik, As a Solarwinds technician, what would you put on your dashboard?

Hi yaquaholic, Thank you for the response. I was hoping the "1" meant EIGRP was up. The OIDs I used were: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449.1.4.1.1.2 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449.1.4.1.1.3 One of them do show IP addresses but my main concern is having a Universal Device Poller show that the EIGRP status is up or down. Would you happen to know…

mesverrum, So it would be okay to just create a new query in my server to execute the script then not save that new query? The defrag will still happen automatically every night?
-
neo, You were looking at the other step 4. The step 4 that concerns me is for the SQL express server and that one states: 4. Right-click any table and select Query table.

So far so good. I updated the .NET Framework on my main orion server first. I will begin upgrading my NTA server .NET framework next.

josh, Which proctored method did you use to take the exam? I believe there are 3: 1) Physically at a proctored site 2) Live Remotely proctored 3) Recorded proctored I will soon schedule my exam but I want to know that any of these proctored methods are acceptable; I'm leaning towards the Recorded proctored where I need to…

Hi D, I am trying to monitor flow data on my VM. I would like to see it in 1 hour intervals. It's setup to backup data to a server at a certain time daily. I would like to see those spikes in possibly a line chart which is hourly.

I am having this issue as well but only with nodes setup as ICMP for "Polling Method." Why would a trap even be sent if polling is set to ICMP only? The nodes are firewalls so does that make a difference? A PC setup the same way gives me no issues so is the firewall sending a trap by default? Any feedback is greatly…

I spoke with Technical support and as of now, there is no way to populate the "Replacement Part Number" and change the text box that states you verified the dates in the "Reliability" column. A future request has been placed.

Thank you jdumke.
-
dkeyser, Thank you for the feedback. How do I get to the table you showed above?
-
Thank you for the feedback everyone. I was able to figure it out with the custom properties. For those who will read this and need specifics such as myself, this is what I did: 1) go to: Settings\All settings\Manage Custom Properties 2) Click "ADD CUSTOM PROPERTY" 3) In the next window I left the object type as Nodes since…

Vinay, In the Discovery Network, it looks like a wizard trying to help me discover my network so does this mean this was never used? I am taking over an existing network and I believe all nodes were added manually. Any other options?
-
It's trying to reach out to IPs within the network. I am currently using NPM, NCM, SAM, DPA, and NTA.
