The latest RC which features a new Chromium based browser engine went live today for customers under active maintenance: WPM 3.0 RELEASE CANDIDATE 1 NOW AVAILABLE! What's New in WPM 3.0 - Chromium Based Recorder and Player

Those icons should slide out from the left side of your node details page when you hover over them:
-
Go to one of the nodes in question and click on "List Resources" ... Asset Inventory has to be selected for the left side navigation for it to appear. Also remember this is SAM specific so if you meant you only have NPM 12.1 then Asset Inventory for servers will not be available.
-
Glad everyone is happy now! and yes please leave the ticket open for the install issue.
-
If you just recently purchased you should have the 6.8 bits available to you in your customer portal. Upgrading is a relatively easy process.
-
Ha! Sorry goodzhere I re-read that like three times thinking I had it backwards... and I did!
-
If it helps here is the complete contents of that table: StatusID StatusName ShortDescription -------- ---------- ---------------- 0 Unknown Unknown 1 Up Up 2 Down Down 3 Warning Warning 4 Shutdown Shutdown 5 Testing Testing 6 Dormant Dormant 7 NotPresent Not Present 8 LowerLayerDown Lower Layer Down 9 Unmanaged Unmanaged…

Yep, understood. Lots of customers have a large amount of rules so we may need to look at improving this from a diagnostic level. Thanks for the input! I will keep an eye on the ticket and nudge it if need be.
-
I don't know of a reason why X Y mode would fail on a regular basis like that. At least not by design. If it seems like that is what you are seeing I would open a ticket with support so they can debug a little deeper.
-
Can you send me the ticket number so I can check on the progress of the case?
-
I don't have an exact release date I can share just yet but anyone who is under current maintenance will see RC notifications as soon as it is ready and we will also obviously announce it here on THWACK as well.
-
Great! Glad it is working now.
-
jeremymayfield ... I believe you would just drag the FileAudit.DetectionIP over to that field:
-
Not sure I can explain that... Might be a good idea to open a ticket and see if the support team can diagnose what is happening there.
-
If you are evaluating it would be better to contact your sales rep and ask them to put together a call with a sales engineer who can help diagnose.
-
If you hover over the node in the summary widget, do the values in the pop over menu come closer to matching the reality on the individual host? (screen shot below for better illustration of where I am asking you to look)
-
Yes, that would be configured on the OpsGenie side: Voice and SMS Notifications - OpsGenie
-
The Windows event forwarder is actually built by another team and not the LA team. I am checking with that other team to see if we can get that updated to reflect support for 2019.
-
That is correct. SAM can treat those VMs exactly as it would any other. You can use all the same polling methods as you would with VMs outside of your VDI.
-
Sounds like we need to ask the team to investigate that. Would you mind opening a ticket so we can gather some diags and troubleshoot the issue? Feel free to ping the ticket number back here and I will track internally as well. Thanks!

Does the user you are using in the step below have Orion Admin?

I am not aware of a specific list of widgets that can't be included on reports. Suffice it to say if you are not able to find a specific widget in the list while building the report, there are likely technical limitations that prevent it from being used directly in a report.
-
OK, thanks for the clarification. I see your update on the other thread and understand these are related now... I am looking at the ticket and will ping you offline so we can work on this.
-
wlipford... In that situation (unless I am misunderstanding you) you would want to limit what gets pulled in using the "Interfaces" section of the discovery results. That way you don't have to filter out resources you didn't wish to monitor in the first place. As you can see below it is possible to specifically select or…
-
Thanks for the ticket number and sorry for the delays. I'll review and see if I can get some additional eyes on the case.
-
My apologies... You are correct, that variable is not going to be useful. I had misunderstood what you were trying to do. I see what you mean now. I will try to tinker with this in my lab a little later and see if I can find something. The trick is going to be determining what to compare against... We know within a 2 hour…
-
Not sure if it helps but there are two polling methods for external or non-managed resources... When you are adding a node you can choose Status Only: ICMP or External Node: Status Only is useful for devices you don't manage i.e. no SNMP or WMI access but where you need up time stats. External allows you to create a node…
-
The detection IP should stay the same regardless of it being forwarded.
-
Yes, we do intend to create some new out of the box widgets based on the new tables... In the meantime you can use a custom query widget and the example query below on your node details page. (stolen from wesleykparker in another thread) SELECT TOP 100 -- Edit this number for how many messages you want to load to widget…

You can do that in SAM today with custom script monitors or there is also a relatively new module for Orion, Server Configuration Monitor, that is designed almost precisely for that use case: Server Configuration Change Monitoring Tool | SolarWinds
