Glad you like what you see

Hi Adam, We will be updating these and several other product pages when we hit GA for 2022.3. Hoping to hit GA in a couple short weeks!
-
Changes to tags on the VMware side should reflect on the VMAN side after a polling cycle or two. If you are editing the tag or just changing which objects it apples to, we should pick that up and apply it on our side.
-
Ultimately yes you should be able to do all the things you would normally do with tags. The initial functionality will be focused on using the tags in the discovery process to filter what you actually want to monitor but in the long run, those tags will be regular properties of the node to be used however you like.
-
@"lynchnigel" Go ahead and open a ticket for that. We probably need to gather some diags and let the team do some investigating.
-
Categories are something we have in the backlog to add support for in a future revision but unfortunately they did not make the initial cut. The need to use True / False instead of text values was due to some technical limitations that we could not get around otherwise. If you are using another method to import the tags…

Yes, we are making good progress on this effort and there is a beta version available to try if you are a current customer with active maintenance: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thwack-beta.jspa?groupID=1492 The new recorder is based on Chromium so there shouldn't be any more issues with IE compatibility popping up.
-
Support for StoreOnce is not on the short term roadmap at the moment but there is an open feature request we are tracking here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/storage-resource-monitor-srm/i/feature-requests/srm-support-hpe-storeonce

The URL must end in a graphic of some sort: https://host.com/path/logo.png https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-orion-maps-create-maps.htm#link11

@"stuartd" We are reviewing this issue to see if we can accelerate the fix into a SR for the 2024.2 release. Also, just for clarity because I know the versioning is causing some confusion. 2024.4 is likely to be a Q3 release as we are only publishing 3 major versions this year instead of 4 like the last couple years. We…
-
Thanks @"mato1964" We'll get that fixed.
-
Yep! Just let one of us know!
-
Status changed! :)

-
Exactly... Ultimately the same functionality will exist everywhere once all the relevant modules pick it up. Until then, buy SAM 6.8!
-
Hi Marcin, We are actively working on this. We recently held a beta with the new version that has done away with the dependence on IE. The feedback was very positive and we are working hard towards the next milestone of a general release.
-
I'll check with the engineering team but most likely that is a bug we need to investigate. If you wouldn't mind opening a case with support, we can take a look at it.
-
Bumping this again as a reminder that the beta for this feature will be available soon. Let us know if you are interested in participating in the beta!

If you happen to own Database Performance Analyzer and have it integrated with Orion you can see AG stats in PerfStack by creating custom metrics in DPA https://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/database-management/database-performance-analyzer-dpa/content?filterID=contentst…
-
Matt, I'll ask the dev team for some clarification there. There may be a reason for the NTLM traffic but if not we may want to investigate with you further... Stand by.

It looks like the recent migration of THWACK to a new platform may have broken the link I posted a couple years ago. I am checking with the team to see if that can be fixed but in the meantime here are a couple other articles related to creating custom metrics in DPA and then seeing DPA metrics in PerfStack on the Orion…

I saw the feature request sent up from the support case and there is an item open for it in the engineering backlog. Thanks for also posting here so others with similar needs can also chime in. While I can't provide any timelines we are actively looking into the scope of work required to certify this with official support.
-
Yes, in centralized settings you can de-select GroupingsSynchronizationEnabled and that will stop the tags from being processed into custom properties.
-
No progress on that in the current roadmap unfortunately.
-
You should not need to do anything other than upgrade to 2020.2.6. The tags will begin populating as custom properties automatically. Any alerts or reports you were driving based on your manually imported tags before will need need to be adjusted to reference the new imported custom properties.
-
No, SAM 6.8 is required to use AppInsight for Active Directory. I understand you may not yet have 2016 Server or above available but if the roadblock is just centered on the pain of migration aLTeReGo wrote up a very useful post about pivoting to a new OS for your Orion environment: How to Migrate Orion to a New Server…

Myself and @"bmrad" are working on an update for the "What We Are Working On" page. Look for that update soon. If the individual "a la carte" modules still fit your environment better than HCO does, you can continue that way for some time. We will continue to provide both paths for the foreseeable future.
-
That is odd. Is it possible there is a firewall or filtering stopping 443 traffic from the Orion server to the UCS manager? I tested the exact same setup in my lab just to be sure and it seems to work: If it continues to give you trouble go ahead and open a ticket and we can try to troubleshoot with you.

These two features are largely still under development for a future release so there is not a lot of public facing documentation about either one just yet. If you have specific use cases in these areas we would love to hear them. I'll reach out to you directly to discuss a potential call with our UX team to gather your…
