Awesome. For some reason I hadn't noticed the "Hardware Health" bit when adding devices. There's some good info there. Can you give me an idea why some nodes wouldn't have a "Disk" section under Hardware Health or is that just too broad a subject? /jh

MLM: I debated using port monitoring, but there are two firewalls between the two boxes, so I'd rather not unless I have to. Josh: Thanks for the heads up. I don't currently have a test bed set up right now, so I'd rather avoid a beta version. It occured to me in the mean time that I could set up a page on the server to do…

Thanks for pointing the obvious out to me. I remember looking at that thread a while back, too, but I was looking for something else, so it didn't occur to me that the information was already out there. Doh!

When creating the limitation, choose "Group of Nodes" and check the boxes next to moe, larry and curley. Don't try any of the pattern options. You just want to choose directly, and that's what "Group of Nodes" is for. Justin

No, the SQL server is a separate server completely.
-
Any new info on this? This is a limiting factor for me right now.

I don't know about anyone else, but our programmer specifically asked about an API to add/remove/modify sub/supernets and IPs from IPAM. He can certainly create his own functions to do all the work involved, but his concern is that changes to IPAM will break his app, and potentially break IPAM in return.

Thanks, Peter. Worked a treat.

Sweet. Thanks, Andy.

It looks like you've put your "Location" conditions in the main conditional, not the sub-conditional. You can tell because the conditions should be further indented underneath where it says "trigger the alert when any of the following apply" as they are in kweise's screenshot. Just make sure you've highlighted the line…

Hi Thomas, Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty clear on the purpose of the test, and thank you for the link to the Prep Guide. When/if I have time for the test, that will be a good resource. However, it makes it pretty clear what I'm talking about. There's enough topics in there that don't apply to me, or don't apply yet,…

Edit: The upgrade comment above by Justin concerning a required SQL2005 upgrade only refers to the Express Edition - we are still running SQL 2000 Standard (at least for a few more weeks) which is still supported by NCM. Fair enough. Thanks for clarifying that. It's still a little disconcerting that I didn't find out…

My Custom MIB Poller does the same thing and we have our SQL on a separate server. I'm curious what the batch file looks like that restarts the service.

That would be good to see. Thanks for the response.

Then go into Accounts and assign that view to your account. Highlight your account, click Edit. Then assign the view in the appropriate field (Node details, Interface details, etc...). Justin

Something like this should work:

The Event Viewer messages seem to have been because of some aggregation cache configs that were in one of our routers. Will there be options for aggregation at some point? Thanks, Justin H.
-
Sure. The account limitations were 2 "Group of Interfaces" limitations each with two ports - "GigEx/x on Router1 and GigEx/x on Router2" for limitation 1 and "GigEx/x on Router3 and GigEx/x on Router4" for limitation 2. The only reason I went that direction was because we're in the process of moving a connection from one…

Any ideas yet?

1. This looks really cool. Can't wait to see what we can do with it. 2. The only acceptable value for boogs is zaro. Please recompile.

I have a "Clear Web Cache" button in the upper right hand corner of my (new-and-improved) Admin screen.

Hi there Jason. I don't have a problem applying pollers to nodes/interfaces. The problem I had was that I added the "UnDP Status" item to Node Details view, and it was showing up for nodes that had no pollers attached to them despite me setting it to hide itself when it didn't apply. This problem seems to have resolved…

I see. I didn't notice the SAM Settings link. I thought I was IN the SAM settings after having clicked on the "Settings" link the first time.

Hi Michal, Thanks for the pointer. Is there some reason that's not the default? Is it because these are existing maps that were converted?

The authentication is user@domain, but I tried \user@domain to try to force local authentication. Neither worked.

If by "exited NCM completely" you mean closing the GUI, yes. I even moved the report out of the reports folder, re-opened the GUI, confirmed that the report wasn't listed, closed the GUI, put the report back, and edited the job to send the report. Still I get the error. Somewhere, the program is adding an ORDER BY clause…

I had it on Auto Determine originally (OID = 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.402), but have since changed it to Cisco IOS. It still isn't downloading the complete config. RESET hasn't been changed and is currently set to: Value="terminal width 0${CRLF}terminal length 0" Justin H.

Hi Andy, I'm looking for a permanent way.

Thanks, Chris. Just out of curiosity, are you discontinuing the posting of direct links to the updates to the forums?

Hi Georgiy, I've heard of this, and I'm trying to get 3.6 installed this week, so I'll try it out, but your link brought me to an error page.
