  • I believe this is due to a current restriction placed on the sale of Huawei devices in the US coming out of a legal settlement which was in turn due to Huawei allegedly taking some of the code from the Cisco IOS to assist in the writing in their VRP, versatile routing platform, (Huawei's version of IOS). They then merged…
  • Hi bshopp, As we have a very large deployment of primarily Huawei devices I would definitely want to help confirm fixes and participate in your beta testing. We have a Virtual Environment built on VMWare with the NPM and SQL Server separate from our production servers for our testing. Please let me know how soon and when…
  • Hi Kuz, Thanks for your prompt reply and the suggestion. Let me give this a try and I will let you know. The only issue is that one of the devices that we are trying to get trap from does not allow us to change the UDP port on which traps are sent. I will give this a try and report my findings. Thanks.
  • Ok, I guess you have checked these already, however just to have an idea: 1. During the outages, can you successfully ping the end the devices from the said Polling Engine? 2. Are the devices being monitored in the same network as the polling engine? 3. What is the difference in the devices staying up and the devices going…
  • Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issue with two new pollers. These are both on Win2k8 R2 SP1.
  • Hi Chrystal, Sorry for the delay. Thank you for the response. I tried this, however the format that was produced included all the HTML source information on the page. Thanks though it was worth a try. It seems that Excel can open HTML, though the report is not sent as an attachment when sent as HTML. I guess this will have…
  • Can anyone tell me if this is absolutely legal. We would like to use screenshots of our Country and areas of interest to use as a background to plot customer networks and give them access to see the performance of their respective networks (NPM as the customer portal). I am trying to see in the permissions of use on…
  • Hi Yann, Thanks for the prompt response. I also purchased the Engineer's Toolset (I believe the latest). When installing, is there a prompt for Toolset Integration on NPM, that is, does it have to be installed on the same server as Orion NPM making it accessible by all who are allowed to use it. If so can you point me to…
  • Hi All, We have a very large Huawei deployment and we currently manage our customer CPE devices which are the S3328, S3528 L3 Switches, a couple AR28 and some AR 18-32/31 Routers. We use SNMP Ver 2c and apply the following configuration: snmp-agent trap enable snmp-agent community read <your community> snmp-agent community…
  • Good Day, Can anyone tell me if multiple user access via the Web Console is available yet. I have version 9.1 installed. If not can anyone tell me the road map of this feature if any. Thanks.
  • Hi All, Can someone tell me how this can be done, I have the same issue as well. Once this can be established, this would give full access to any Huawei device. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  • Found the issue, I am using a second polling engine which is a bit underutilized and was more than 5 minutes out of sync with the SQL Database. I fixed the clock skew, deleted the device (would not delete until the clock skew was fixed). Re-added the device and everything came up displaying all the parameters, response…
  • Good Day, Have a look at your timing between your SQL Server, Main Polling Engine and the Polling Engine, they all should be within 1 minute of each other. If they are more that 5 minutes apart in timing you get all sorts of strange issues.
