  • BINGO! Good work - for anyone looking for the template, it is: <!-- edited with XML Spy v4.4 U (http://www.xmlspy.com) by () --> <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2005 SolarWinds.Net All rights reserved--> <Configuration-Management Device="IRONPORT" SystemOID=" 1.3.6.1.4.1.15497.1.1.1"> <Commands>…
  • nope, checked with and without menunased and virtual prompt in there. Check your email for newest trace. Thanks, James
  • Yes, enter after Y. So if should look like this? <!-- edited with XML Spy v4.4 U (http://www.xmlspy.com) by () --> <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2005 SolarWinds.Net All rights reserved--> <Configuration-Management Device="IRONPORT" SystemOID=" 1.3.6.1.4.1.15497.1.1.1"> <Commands> <Command…
  • All I have been able to get is that on a linux box I can run the follwing script to grab the config without issue: echo -e "showconfig\ny" | ssh admin@my.ironport.box | sed -n "/\?xml/,/\/config/p"
  • - response time 7 seconds - Yes mutliple accounts, but multiple users to handle multiple accounts:-) - no, cannot image this would works based on the setup i see of the product feature if your looking for a serious application monitor, SolarWinds can do anything but, you need to create it Fact is 2.5 is better, and been…
  • opening up a case, but I do not think so. The device likes using scp for handling the configs.
  • This thing is very particular. First, use the outlook, skip the other MAPI object install. I have found that thing to be unreliable on other installs in the past. Second, you will need a clean account, that is dedicated to this function. The engine chokes if it sees anything in an account that it not expecting, or even too…
  • Thanks, I have tried the command script with no luck either. In this case, I starts to get the config, gets a bout 1/4 page of information, then just locks up.
  • Check email
  • Figured it out. Strange setup requirement, very particular in operation!
  • I tested the same with the ping (YES FQDN full response). Same issue.
  • This is not working: <!-- edited with XML Spy v4.4 U (http://www.xmlspy.com) by () --> <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2005 SolarWinds.Net All rights reserved--> <Configuration-Management Device="IRONPORT" SystemOID=" 1.3.6.1.4.1.15497.1.1.1"> <Commands> <Command Name="DownloadConfig"…
  • you've got mail
  • Send me your email and I will forward you the config file.
  • Same issue here. Does not work. Installed hte CDO, nothing. Tried outlook, nothing. Verified through the MAPI tool suggested earlier in this thread and see the profiles there. Even tied the APMTEST2. Outlook can open the account fine from the user behing specified in Orion. Orion on the other hand just keeps saying "…
  • Strange - that is not what we were told by this Carrie person from SoalrWinds. Anyway, Orion 9.1 seems to act flakey on SNMP monitoring with them. Have three seperate 2008 servers and it will go from being able to monitor to saying that it is in an "unknown" state and not be able to report on NIC or application status.…
  • It logs in, gets part of the config, then just hangs. Anyway, ignore my ignorance, can you tell me the best way to get this trace you need? Thanks for your help!
  • Hello?
  • FYI on the 2008 issue. We got some random mixed up call from Carrie (SP?) in support regarding what they thought was a 2008 issue (although I never opened up a case on 2008 -anyway, we were told that there is NO support of 2008 for Orion (not just install server, but including the abilitiy to run SNMP queries against it…
  • Seems like a bunch of people like this, and seems crazy that you are personally monitoring. Seems to me something Solarwinds should incorporate in to future Orion functionality.
  • Anyone ever find a template to work? Seems like when you execute script manually for showconfig${CRLF}Y${CRLF} you get the first part of the config then it just hangs?
  • This was a great addition - it would be great if it worked with 9.5
  • Thanks Denny – look, I am a fan of the Solarwinds. And I see your point on features, but the question is why was it not there already before I, or anyone else, requested. I also disagree with you on the “market comparison”. If I wanted to write scripts all day I would have installed Nagios and saved a bunch of $$ in…
  • I am getting something similar as well. Things start to go "unknown" for a while in the system - yet they are actually fine. At times, the whole server gets mucked up and then I just need to restart all the services again. Seems to be after going to Orion 9.5, but have IPAM sp2 installed. Specific errors in event log:…
  • I am not holding my breath. Pointed this out to support last fall and posted here in December. Best I got was " here is something you might be able to modify up". Good luck . . . . Thanks, really helpful!
  • Bug in Netflow. If you mark something as unmanaged it causes the whole netflow service to crash. Fix is to either remanage the device or to delete the device from netflow and re-add when managed again. I guess development now has as a bug to fix in some future version.
  • You ever get this fixed?
  • You had the fix! Thanks for your help.
  • I did open a ticket (100607) prior to posting and support cannot figure it out with debugs etc. . . understand other people have reported issue to support as well, so looking to see where others may have gotten.
  • This seems like the most common request for file based verification. APM 2.5 has file functionality built in, but this was overlooked. Why? How is verifying the checksome of a file (and needing to go in an reset the checksum) more important than specifying file XYZ and seeing if it has/has not been modifyed in ABC period…
