cobrien, can you elaborate on "Real Multi-tenancy support"? Unless I'm misinterpreting it, this sounds like replacing what EOC does.
-
silverbacksays, Did you get any juicy info on the remote poller from michal.hrncirik? I'm very interested in a as well.

Woot! I'm super excited for multiple items on here! Keep up the good work SolarWinds!

Bumping for visibility. I'm not sure if this is a bug, misconfiguration, or...?

This is my rifle. This is my gun. This is for fighting. This is for... err nevermind.

Sorry, I know the follow-up is long overdue. I'm doing a lot of travel for work over the next few weeks. I haven't forgot about this and once things calm down (do they ever?) I'll write my follow-up. In the meantime if anyone has specific questions about Orion AWS deployments, throw them in here or DM me and I'll respond…

So, I submitted a support case for this (Case # 69996 - Orion AWS Migration Assistance) to get more guidance on migration to AWS. I received the following reply: Thank you for contacting SolarWinds Technical Support. My name is (redacted) and I will be working on this case with you. We are not currently supporting the…

Well, on my 5th call into support I got a hold of Kevin with SolarWinds support. He was able to assist me in getting my Orion instance back up and running. Not sure what happened with SAM, Kevin suspects it may be due to this: Unable to install SAM if the database contains old data - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and…

Waited another 10 minutes, the phone rang and was forwarded to a generic Cisco voicemail to leave a message. Also, I attempted to open a "System down" ticket for this through the customer portal as I still don't have a case number for this (since nobody is answering at SolarWinds support) and I received an error that…

Was on hold for another 25 minutes and then got answered to dead air.... thegreateebzies miguelalvear help!

wabbott, brett.holzhauer Can anyone from SolarWinds chime in on this? Not sure which product's staff to ping since this is an overall Orion platform hotfix.

surfinguru2000, Are you using Google Drive on G Suite or with personal accounts?

I organize all my nodes into groups (*cough* Orion Group management is HORRID *cough*) based on our physical locations. This presents a problem with our 400+ Cisco WLC-based Thin APs. I want them to be present and viewable in the Group Summary Pages for these locations but, since Orion doesn't treat them as nodes I can't…

You can acknowledge the alert to remove it from active alerts however, it will still be in all alerts until the reset condition is met. Otherwise, you could also set a trigger actions to write to the NetPerfMon Event Log and then you can reference the log for which alerts were triggered.

Hi gazwales and welcome to THWACK! I would recommend that you go over the NPM Get Started Guide:Network Peformance Monitor Getting Started Guide - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support in the success center paying close attention to the "Plan your product deployment" article. As for THWACK, I would highly recommend…

I may have spoke too soon. I was out of the country all last week for work. I got back today and noticed that I only have 1 subnet scan running in IPAM on my primary polling engine (PPE) and it has been running for 2800+ minutes. Jobs on my additional polling engine (APE) seem to be running and completing without issue. In…

Concluded my call at 12:30 PM CST. The vast majority of the issues remain unresolved. As part of the "IPAM Polling getting stuck", IPAM was starting automated subnet scans for a lot of subnets until it could no longer handle all the queued jobs. Before IPAM 4.6 the maximum simultaneous subnet scan jobs was set to 5 (or…
-
I've been on a call with support and the IPAM dev team since 9:30AM CST. They're still working on the issues, I'll update with what happened when we conclude.

Update on this. After installing IPAM4.6HF1 all the documented issues remain and none of them were resolved. I spent 2 hours and 40 minutes on the phone with support attempting to continue to resolve this issue after the Hotfix was installed. As of now, over 1,800 subnet scan jobs are being queued up maxing out the…
-
Unfortunately, none of my outstanding issues mentioned above have been addressed. I installed the hotfix about 30 minutes ago. None of the scans queued up have completed including the small "/29" subnet that queued up first. My "Manage Credentials" for IPAM scope is still blank. I tried adding test credentials but, they…

ding, any updates on this?
-
Hey rschroeder, thanks for chiming in. This is the first time I've heard of SQL 2016 being needed for IPAM 4.6. Do you happen to know where the documentation references this?
-
I'm seeing this issue as well every few days. I have case # 1016818 for this. Support was able to install a "Buddy Drop" on our Flow DB server as a temporary fix until a hotfix is released for this.
