That's awesome! Keep at it. That's much more important than answering people whining about the colors on a website

Thanks Steven, that's good to know.

I agree. I don't think SolarWinds products are as ubiquitous as other vendors that have vendor-specific certifications like Cisco and Microsoft. Therefore the advantage to hold this certification when you're not already employed by a company that uses SolarWinds products is low. I would also like to chime in on the "these…

You don't even know. Shipping company conversation: "FRA-GEEE-LEEEE, huh must made in Italy or something".

That's good to hear. Perhaps then this would help you even more? https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/8479

Jamie -- when you give the presentation, or in some link, could you please address licensing for registered holders of Kiwi Syslog. Both are Solarwinds products, and it would be nice if Orion integration came to Kiwi instead of requiring a separate product and license purchase. Don't you agree? You can add me to that list,…

Just tried running it and unfortunately after I click on "Submit", I receive an error that says "UserId is not valid". The credentials are the same ones I've used with the NCMCSA Connector in the past successfully (Well, I was able to get past submit and it would run for a few hours then error out). I also confirmed that…

I did! I'm working out the kinks specific to our environment but, SolarWinds has handled the migration smoothly. I'm planning on doing a full write up after things calm down a bit here. I have 3 APEs including one of them taking the place of the former MPE. The former MPE is using the same IP as it did as the MPE since it…

That should help sonic9t9 Maybe what I'm looking for is more of a feature request. I'm thinking like the ability to copy/paste, special key entry (I.E. Break), and more specific connection settings (non-standard port number).

Thanks Serena! I called support and got essentially the same answer. One thing to note is it seems the link to the upgrade documentation on the NAM Success Center page is broke. As I put in the screenshot above, the text for the document isn't a hyperlink. The support tech said that when he's logged into the success center…

Definitely agree. I started with this process but, the whole "Ticket quota exceeded..." error put the brakes on that. I had diagnostics saved and ready to go. I can tell SolarWinds uses the "Follow the Sun" support model with different geographical area support teams supporting all SolarWinds customers based on what time…

neoceasar, This would show the release notes for the latest version of that respective module however not the "Hotfix Bundle for Products with Orion 2017.3" that stevenstadel is referring to. I'm curious as to where I can find the release notes for this as well. I was hoping that this would contain the hotfixs to address…

CourtesyIT shameless plug for your article, eh? I agree, very informative doc with a lot of good Thwack links in it.

I have a call with support today at 2:30 PM CST to investigate this further. They had me reboot my main polling engine after doing a memory dump of the "SolarWinds.Collector.Service" Windows service and dumping diagnostics. The reboot cleared the "stuck" subnet scan however, there's still "weird" things going on. IPAM is…

I get this when I try to get to the release notes: "You do not have permissions to view this page - please try signing in." I tried my THWACK and customer portal credentials but, was unable to log in.

Connie, For case # 1361094, I have had no communication since Monday, December 18th. That communication was triggered by me asking for an update and the response was essentially what you just told me. I have reached out to you personally on 2 occasions and you said you would look into it. A week and a half of no updates is…

Yes, I've been using that. I'm really missing the features from SWQL Studio though. Perhaps you could fork off Microsoft's MSSQL VSCode extension: GitHub - Microsoft/vscode-mssql: Visual Studio Code SQL Server extension.

Is it just me or is this page gone?

mavturner DanielleH thegreateebzies gminks Thanks for the replys and quick resolution by the THWACK team! I figured the issues were not intentional but, the perfect storm of these issues happening simultaneously gave me some doubt.

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. Just got SAM but, I'm a long time NPM user. I would highly recommend signing up and taking the free live webinar classes for the different SolarWinds products through the customer portal. Here's a link to the SAM related ones: Virtual Classrooms | SolarWinds Customer Portal

I agree, while the option to use THWACK points is a nice gesture I think my concerns from the original (now locked ) thread stand. SolarWinds Certified Professional Launch I agree. I don't think SolarWinds products are as ubiquitous as other vendors that have vendor-specific certifications like Cisco and Microsoft.…

This is an excellent idea! DanielleH, any chance you can help make this happen?
-
Not sure. The field no longer exists in the Config file cited in the SolarWinds support entry and I would have no idea where to put it in the config file or registry.
-
I did not. I ended up using the Custom Property Resource to show them on the group page. Not what I was hoping for since some of the Custom Property I don't want displayed and I wanted to put them in an order that suited my need not alphabetically.
-
Did you ever get an answer on this? I have these very same questions.
-
Thanks for the input. I'm hoping a SolarWinds staff member can weigh in.

scottc98 wrote: Running NCM 7.7 and its reporting our Juniper EX4200s incorrectly. The EOS link is referring to a EOL for EX4200-48P and EX4200-24P.......but all of our devices are EX4200-48px or EX4200-24px. The PX is NOT EOL and it seems like this should be a very simple fix for the SWINDs team to address. Maybe its best…

Based on what cvachovecj said here: list of ncm supported devices?? (admittedly 3 years ago...) it sounds like what I said is correct.

Sorry things didn't work out I distributed the things you ordered to my team as you suggested and they really appreciate it! You can hold me to my promise of drinks on me the next time I go to the UK. Also, I'll try to pack a carry-on bag full of Thwack swag

I do. Nice little Bluetooth speaker. Here are the details: Origaudio: Boxanne Bluetooth Speaker
