DanielleH maria.bungau What's this "Thwack" thing you speak of? Perhaps I should complete this mission to enter to win the Raspb... I mean find out more.
-
What a cruel, cruel joke that answer is!
-
While not essential in my company's environment, it would be so much more convenient to use Gsuite credentials to log into Orion than AD.
-
This is an excellent Idea!
-
Pretty funny that SolarWinds internal IT can't monitor their own SD-WAN solution with their product. Smooth Sailing with Silver Peak SD-WAN at SolarWinds | Network World

Yikes, I'll take a T-800 over one of those any day.
-
Bump on this one, was surprised this wasn't already a thing.
-
I can dig it.
-
Definitely have to bump this.
-
This is a good idea and shouldn't be too hard to implement considering checking network ports is already a part of the SolarWinds Active Diagnostics.

maria.bungau So, not sure if they've already been acquired. For those that won the Raspberry Pi, any chance they could get the Pi 3 now that it came out for the same price: Raspberry Pi 3 on sale now at $35 - Raspberry Pi

Bump-time!

YES!

Thanks aLTeReGo! How about these: Netgate 8300 series '1.3.6.1.4.1.74.1.30.8.3.2' U110 VPN Gateway (most recent replacement for Netgate series with AT&T) '1.3.6.1.4.1.74.1.30.8.3.4'

sja, currently within our company in the "SCADA" use case I cited we're using the PRTG remote probes (which is basically a micro-poller). The SolarWinds Orion suite is superior in almost every other way but, the lack of any comparable SolarWinds remote probe solution is preventing my company from replacing PRTG in these…

Agreed! The noted "fix" seems really hokey. This isn't a crazy modification as large routing tables aren't exactly uncommon.
-
This many times over. Deploying a whole Windows box for just this role is hard to justify (VMs aren't an option at our remote sites).
-
I'm actually demoing Splunk this week for Syslog aggregation. How is it? Have you used LEM?

Welcome brett.holzhauer!

With the apparent demise of Alert Central (or at least abandonment), this is a very valuable feature request.
-
Sounds like where I'm at. Count me in.

We replaced Scrutinizer with NTA to accompany our install of NPM, NCM, and IPAM. We use ServiceNow for ticketing but, are migrating to ServicePro (previously know as HelpSTAR). The server side uses SCOM and HP NNM. I'm looking for a good solution for our security team to use to centralize firewall/server log management.…

Bump it, I shall.
-
We are looking at Netbrain strictly for it's dynamic mapping since, Network Atlas and even NTM leave a lot to be desired.
-
This is a big one. A shared credentials storage would be great across all of Orion. It's a pain in the butt to have to go to each product's credentials menus to change passwords for the same credentials.
-
While this is specifically a SAM feature request, I see great use cases across almost all SolarWinds products.
-
Agreed! I'm thinking an optional checkbox in the Edit Resource section would be best. Here's a quick mock-up on the Map edit resource page.

Perhaps I'm being impatient but, I placed an order for an item that shipped on 4/4 and as of yet there's no tracking info. How long should it take for tracking info to be populated?

Cell Phones for Soldiers (https://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/) takes donated cell phones and tablets, sells them to refurbishment companies or electronics recyclers, and then uses the proceeds to purchase and donate calling cards to soldiers, seamen, marines, and airmen serving overseas. I can personally vouch for the…

Let us cleanse the Orion in darkness in the name of the dark lord!
