It seemed like going to a government regulation blessed public cloud was the focus of the IT groups I worked with when I was a contractor. But HCI might be a good if a tech refresh is needed and they are not ready for the cloud. Thanks for the article!

The Feb 10th question was a practice in active listening.

Amazon rolls out machines that pack orders and replace jobs I need to start teaching my kids how to program and design robots.

I remember walking across an unmaintained bridge made for trains. It was about a half mile long with rotting wood. Looking back that was a pretty dumb thing to do. Good thing I was young and "invincible" at the time.

"scooters now only last a month or two on the streets." That is pretty amazing, I see loses to the same degree that Uber is seeing.

This was my first SWUG. It was worth flying and paying for a hotel to attend. I definitely got more out of it than it cost to attend!

I got it wrong, I probably over thought it. But if you read the question literally you will get it wrong. The why you got it wrong explanation does not address the question. The question was asking when is it customizable. The why you got it wrong explanation talks about capabilities. When is not by. It has been a while…

I don't know much about it but I think it would be more accurate to say that, "China's social credit system is about scouring citizens AND it's a massive API."

Another arrow in the quiver.

Question 11 (June 17th) made me smile. I like it how it is setup. I still looked at the hint and but there is obviously only one correct answer.

Does anyone have a good definition of machine learning? I have heard of machine learning for a long time but I have never seen a working example of actual machine learning. What I have seen is human applied automation of common tasks. The definition I saw includes "...that computer systems use to perform a specific task…

You made you day! My first order has already been made!

Backup and Archive is definitely something that could have helped some of the companies I've worked for in the past.

I thought the same thing @"chrisorourke" But it was Workday for me.

There are some changes coming with how the teams reporting to my manager are structured. I'm excited for the changes and how they will affect projects, the work, and monitoring.

I read part 2 first and then saw this article. When I first heard Hyperconvergence Infrastructure I immediately thought, buzzword. Like the cloud it seems it can mean a whole lot of different possibilities. It just depends on what sales person you are talking to.

Can I have a reboot achievement? Maybe, fixed 1000 computers by rebooting them?

I'm 75% sure the link to the Efren Reyes video was as inspiring or more inspiring than the Strong Opinions Loosely Held Might be the Worst Idea in Tech article was.

I setup pi-hole at home. Since I don't have SolarWinds at home I'll have to try and find another API at work that I can test this on.

That is a lot of work to keep the community going! I appreciate it!

Other interfaces I work with do this so I try and mouse over to the data point to get the value and am disappointed almost everyday. (Not that it works some days, I just try it almost every day. )

Ditto on your comments on the dockless scooter industry. Nuisance indeed.

I got about 2 and half minutes into Play Dungeons & Deadlines before getting sucked back into my real life Dungeons & Deadlines.

To improve Application Performance you need to also know what your application/code is doing. Bytecode instrumentation can tell you the average response time, number of executions, hung transactions, errors, etc., down to specific methods in your code. Knowing what the code is doing helps solve problems quicker and gives…

I appreciate the 10,000 steps article. With having a desk job it is good to know that I don't have to kill myself for 10,000 steps but 4000-7000 steps will have a positive affect. Well, maybe 4000 steps or moving a 6 yards of gravel.

It took me a while to get my password, Mincast would delay the password reset passowrd longer than 30 minutes. I'm glad I got it worked out and I'm not happily thwacking!

I must have noticed that icon at some point since I had some recent searches show up there. Still seems like there are too many clicks after the search to get to the node. Maybe the enhancement should be that when you start typing a node name in that search bar then a list of matching nodes start to show up as you type,…

Thanks for the article. I've participated in these trainings. Mostly annual mandatory CBTs. Many times it has felt like leadership is more concerned about compliance, that everyone has shown they have taken the training, than actually creating a environment where security is a central focus.
