Anyway to improve the amount of time it takes for the NetPerfMon service to get the memory it needs to run? This is taking a very long time and pretty much makes my Orion server useless while its in this stage.

Thanks Greg!

borgan, Thanks. Yes the cellular modem is just for SMS alerts. Do you know if you can use wild cards with those conditions? Node IP is equal to *.*.*.1 Thanks again for the help

Any ideas as to where to look to see what might be causing this?
-
This would allow you to execute the script and specify the remote credential set to do so.

Brandon, It looks like I still have some ports that just don't change even after a poll of the device. Not sure what the difference is, but maybe if they are up when changed to unplugged it doesn't affect them? Something seems like it might have a bug. Jeff

Looks like that might be the case. I will do some more testing later today. Ideally they would change right away, IMO.

I'd just like to know how you're monitoring 125,000 interfaces with only 4 servers. How many elements do you have per server?
-
Strange, here is what a snippet of mine looks like;

JP, I'd be happy to set something up if you're experiencing issues still. Can you DM me some dates/times that would work with you for early next week?
-
No luck with the repair. Any other ideas?
-
Are you using SNMP version 3? If so your configuration might be restricting view access to the interface MIBs.
-
Should I just open a case?
-
NTA should work fine with the version of code you're running. Can you open a Support ticket to figure out why you can't add the WLC to NPM?
-
I also have the same issue. Please post here if you all find a solution.

We are running 4.6.2.113 for the windows agent and the latest version of the toolset. Depending on the NAC environment upgrades are a pretty big deal and require network downtime. Greg, we might have an old install copy of that version, if not I can get you what we have now. HTH.

Chris, Any update of getting this added to the Inventory report? Thanks, Jeff

Another option is to use a custom property. Put in all of the addresses you want to email within the customer property. Once that is created you can use the custom property variable within the To: field of the email alert.

To create your syslog alerts you'll need to use the Syslog Viewer on the Orion server. Under the Syslog Server Settings you'll see a tab for Alerts / Filter Rules. Adding a new rule will allow you to trigger alerts based on certain rules. The trigger action is where you can add the ability to be emailed and create the…

All new releases and hot fixes can be found in your customer portal.

I changed the "Log On As" from the local system account to my username and password and everything seems to work fine now.
-
Thanks, looking into your case now.

Thanks for sharing. We are actively working on this and hope to provide more details shortly. I'll update the thread when I have some news.

First, did you configure the WLC to send NetFlow data to NTA? If so, you should see the WLC listed on the NTA Summary Page. In addition if you go to the WLC Node Details page you should see some new NetFlow resources. Jeff

I've been running 9.5 since it was released on two different Orion deployments. I didn't see hardly any of the problems that some of the other users posted about. I'd say you'll be fine now that SP4 out.

Matt, The new method for alert suppression is very impressive. We are already enjoying its benefits with the RC. Let me know if you have any questions about it. Jeff

Perfect! Thanks so much and great job on this! I've attached a picture of just a few of the gauges I've added. Cheers!

We are getting ready to move over 250 monitored UPSes from APC InfraStrucXure Manager to Orion. We will be setting up custom pollers, syslog, and traps. We should be able to accomplish everything our current system does and have the ability to support multi-vendor devices. Going to be a cool project and I'll probably have…

I've never found anything from SolarWinds that really tells you how to setup your SQL DB for best performance with their products. I've only learned through support and researching things. Here is what I mean about the boot.ini file. Depending on your OS, SQL isn't using all the memory it could in your server. I would…

Is there anyway to do that in Advanced Alerts? Here is where I run into problems with basic alerts. We have a ceullar modem connected to our main Orion box to send out SMS pages if a node goes down. I only want to send out an SMS for our Distro switches. So I like how I can select nodes with basic alerts, but what if those…
