Yes, you need SAM 6.2 to take advantage of the Orion Agent for SAM monitoring. Technically the agent is also used for QoE which was introduced in NPM 11.0, but that doesn't include the SAM monitoring aspect that you're probably looking for.

Come on aLTeReGo, we can get serena to get this done!!!!

Have you enabled the dependencies feature for the network devies yet? https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-automatic-dependencies-sw1154.htm Jeff

There is no licensing limitation on interfaces or volumes.
-
You're limited by the number of nodes. So in your case, you can monitor up to 500 nodes, but as many interfaces and volumes as you want across those 500 nodes.
-
That's correct. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/orion_platform_licensing_model.htm
-
OSH is licensed by nodes, not interfaces. You can monitor as many interfaces as you want, as long as you stay within your node count.
-
Or a better alternative to PagerDuty - https://www.squadcast.com/ Jeff
-
Can you go to Settings-->All Settings-->License Details. On that page you should see the number of nodes, interfaces an volumes being monitored.
-
Hi Joe. The polling rate is a calcualation of nodes, volumes, and interfaces (elements) x polling intervals. Typically a single polling engine can handle ~12,000 elements at default polling. Once you reach 100% it's recommended you add another polling engine to handle the additional elements you're polling. Hope this helps.

One other option would be to consider SWO NICO (Network, Infrastructure, & Cloud Observability). This is our SaaS offering that provides Prometheus integrations and NPM functionality.
-
Hi @"GirbanG" . I've shared your feedback with our support & customer success leader as I'm sure he would like to ensure you're getting the level of support needed. In the meantime, is there a case/ticket number I can look into for you?
-
Hi Mark Boyd. Would be happy to share the roadmap and strategic direction for both HCO and SWO with you and others. Message me if interested or I can clarify anything for you. Jeff
-
I pinged the team to see if we could verify if this was addressed.

SolarWinds Platform 2023.2.1 Release Notes
-
These issues should be addressed in 2023.2.1, available in the customer portal. If you are still having issues please send me your case number and I’ll look into it. jeff
-
Just emailed you a link to the bits you're looking for. Let me know if this doesn't resolve your issue. Jeff
-
Do you have a support ticket I can look into?
-
We have and continue to discuss it, but no immediate plans.
-
DPA functionality is not included with HCO. They would need to keep DPA and do the DPAIM integration to maintain that level of functionality. Same with WPM and SRM.
-
The underlying KBs have been updated to reflect any changes or updates. Are you looking for something specific?
-
Sounds good. We plan to release a HF shortly.
-
We do. You can add a security contact DL within the customer portal where we notify customers via email. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/resources/b/product-blog/posts/defining-a-named-security-contact-for-your-organization We also have an RSS feed.
-
SentryOne products are not known to be affected by this.
