driegel have you opened a support case on this item and can you share it with us here? Are you seeing numbers/ statistics inaccurately portrayed or missing connections? The Maps project is simply visualizing data from the respective modules. If you are seeing issues, they are likely also visible in other areas of the…

Yes, this is something that I would like to see make its way into the Enterprise Operations Console. It is going to involve a number of changes, but this is being investigated and we hope to have something for you in the future. .

Thank you for the feedback sotherls. For now we probably need to route this discussion to the RC Forum, and I can provide you feedback.

Not necessarily. EOC 2.0 certainly supports Windows 2012R2. If it is a VM, can you wipe it and start fresh? If it is a physical box, you may want to do more than just opening Add/Remove programs and uninstalling the product. I might suggest looking for and removing similar files such as the following: C:\Program Files…

mdangol is it possible to install EOC 2.0 on a new server, rather than attempting to install on the old EOC system? What OS are you attempting to install on?

jamison.jennings typically documentation is limited from an RC perspective but if there is anything I can assist with, please let me know. Being that this forum is open, some items may not be appropriate to discuss here. If you would like to reach out to me directly, or provide feedback in the RC Forum, I would be happy to…

m_roberts - Your statement is accurate. There will not be an upgrade path from versions prior to EOC 2.0. These are drastically different and even though the EOC 1.6.x versions looked "Orion-like", they were not. Enterprise Operations Console 2.0 has been built from the ground up starting fresh but incorporating the same…

jbarr3tt- I don't believe this question pertains to the Enterprise Operations Console so I may move it to NPM. However, a single polling engine can typically handle around 12,000 elements at default polling intervals. It looks like you are currently monitoring around 12,639 elements, and it sounds like you could be…

To reiterate what has been stated in much of the comments, the Orion Maps feature is utilizing data exposed through the different modules. However with the link that serena posted above, you can now use the Map Editor to define topology that may not have been automatically detected. If something is not automatically being…

A bit more information on what you are trying to accomplish and perhaps the amount of nodes you are trying to consolidate would be ideal. A pie chart is not currently available in the oob UI. Some customers have found unique methods for accomplishing this task using widgets such as the Custom HTML resource. However, while…

This would be best resolved through a support case. Please log a case and upload diagnostics. This will allow us to properly investigate. Share your support case number here so I can also track it.

Are you looking for reporting from IPAM? Do you have more detail or screenshots of what you are trying to accomplish?
-
thadswan we have identified a bug in which we believe we have a resolution for and can supply a buddy drop but we will need to get some more information in order to validate and track this scenario. I will direct message you for more details.

beerholder You are correct, there is certainly some changes from EOC 1.6.3 to EOC 2.0. I encourage you to review the following posts on this very topic. Hello jabuckley both ipMonitor and the Orion Platform suite of products support methods of adding devices without going through the standard GUI. For ipMonitor we are working on updating and transitioning documentation to our Success Center - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support - However, here is some information…

alibi - I assume you tested this against some of your devices and do get a returned value correct? Can you show a screenshot from the UnDP tool showing a successful test? The OID you show above might not be anything more than a textual description of an entity, and not an actual numeric value. Therefore depending on how…

I haven't heard of this issue yet km88. Can you share your support case number? Also, please ensure you have obtained diagnostics and uploaded those to the case.

You should not require an activation key for either the free version, or a free trial (until the 14 days have completed). A pop up occurs and asks you if you would like to test the free trial, and perhaps you clicked this, rather than hitting continue with the free version. Also, have you tested ipMonitor on this system…

mivy00 I assume you are leveraging AD Groups and wish to have all members of that group, have the same view? Currently as you described, the 2.0 release is utilizing a framework that forces/ or allows, which ever way you view it, each user to have a unique view. While offering flexibility, it really offers too much…

Hello Jens - There are some limitations when creating or using manual links within Network Atlas. Unfortunately you are correct that they will not have a correlating status. You can of course change the color of the link, but that will not changed based on any polled value. It sounds like you figured out how to change the…

Can you clarify - are the nodes you are looking to see connected a couple of servers? Is the goal to see server to server communication with the network path between them?
-
Detroiter - Correct - EOC 2.0 cannot be installed and ran from the same server in which you are running versions prior to 2.0. This is due to collision of job engines, differences in SWIS versions that were required, among other scenarios. It unfortunately is not possible.
-
This is unfortunately not possible today. In Network Atlas there is not currently a variable available that would represent your statistic value. While Orion Maps cannot currently use variables, you could add the component, however the standard hover over provides basic status and not metrics. Ill take this under…

himanshu_ranjan is this actually with the ipMonitor product as APE's (Additional Polling Engines) are scalability engines for the Orion Platform, and not ipMonitor?
-
Please ensure you are on the latest version of the free tool. You may need to upgrade to the 10.9.1.7 version which should resolve this issue.
-
Can you describe a bit more of what you are after? Are you looking to be able to click on an element and see a specific metric over time, or are you looking to be able to compare how a map looked at one point in time vs another?
-
iasuncio - There is not a way today to add custom icons to the Orion Maps projects yet. You are limited to those two options for now. This is however something we are certainly working on! I would be interested to understand why this is important to you and what ideally would you be able to do if you were to design this…
