Detroiter - Correct - EOC 2.0 cannot be installed and ran from the same server in which you are running versions prior to 2.0. This is due to collision of job engines, differences in SWIS versions that were required, among other scenarios. It unfortunately is not possible.

Please ensure you are on the latest version of the free tool. You may need to upgrade to the 10.9.1.7 version which should resolve this issue. 

Can you describe a bit more of what you are after? Are you looking to be able to click on an element and see a specific metric over time, or are you looking to be able to compare how a map looked at one point in time vs another?
