ecklerwr1 - please expand on this is possible. Would like to understand what works for you within NTM over Network Atlas and which features you would hope would be incorporated and why.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. zackm I love the detail. I wanted to check with you on point 7 you brought up: * UnDP objects do not show the status per threshold/value, but the status of the ability of SW to poll an OID. (e.g.; if I have a UnDP that measures battery status on a UPS, the NA icon would be green as long…

Unfortunately there is a tough balance between providing dynamically built content and allowing complete control of where things show up. Luckily you do have a bit more control with the latest release. I recommend checking out Orion Platform 2019.2 - Orion Maps 2.0!
-
Unfortunately it is necessary to manually update Account Credentials within EOC in the event the remote/local site account credentials change. We are hoping to come up with options for this in future releases.

That is what this connection represents - if there is a connection established and the latency and packet loss between the systems communicating. Here is an example from the online environment - https://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/ui/maps/viewer/MAPS-645e7c4b-d512-4ebe-a5b2-a9a0e6726791 Taken from this post - Orion Platform…

Here is an example - I don't have all the DC's communicating currently - hopefully this helps.

There is an entire post dedicated to it! - Orion Platform 2019.4 - Orion Maps is Now Available

ORION PLATFORM 2019.2 - ORION MAPS 2.0 - Would love to hear your feedback on what you like, don't like, and what you would want to see next!

saw10 - Yes Network Atlas will eventually be going away. We hope to have much of the feature parity needed to do so very soon. The important question we need answered from you is what do YOU NEED to feel comfortable switching to Orion Maps? What range of control and display options are you looking for?

Apologies for the delay rbmarshall - as promised, here are a couple posts that should provide some guidance around the changes with EOC 2.0. UNDERSTANDING CHANGES IN EOC 2.0 - The Enterprise Summary View UNDERSTANDING CHANGES IN EOC 2.0 - The Enterprise Maps View

chippershredder- Unfortunately there is no upgrade path from EOC 1.6.3 to 2.0, and installing EOC 2.0 on a machine that previously ran 1.6.3 also presents a number of issues. The following steps would need to occur prior to installing 2.0: 1) Stop all EOC services. 2) Uninstall all EOC components from "Programs and…

In your ideal world, how would you want that data captured in Orion nwilson8989

zennifer - This is actually from Network Atlas - you may be interested in the following: ORION PLATFORM 2019.4 - ORION MAPS RC (NPM Forum)

Love these posts because I love all the interaction with all of you and understanding what you need. The "labels" piece has come up a few times and in your example here you chose one thats a bit isolated. However, in most of the examples I have seen, these maps tend to be rather data dense, so would labels actually end up…

Describe that process Steve - what does that look like from your perspective?
-
jtimes - can you elaborate specifically what you do to maintain or update the Lat/Long? Is there something particular about the flexibility of the geo-location you need changed? Is there some way you envision that being kept up to date for you?
-
What would make it exciting? Why did you choose to use this widget? What would you like to see changed about it?
-
rmullal Can you clarify what you have problems with as far as device support?

mwb Here are a few suggestions: 1) Avoid missing table aliases in select statement: "select NodeID, v.Node.Caption from Orion.Volumes v" would be rewritten to "select v.NodeID, v.Node.Caption from Orion.Volumes v" 2) Avoid duplicated column names in select statement: "select v.Node.Caption, v.Caption from Orion.Volumes v"…
-
mwb I will have a look at your examples and check with the engineering team to see where we can fill in some of the gaps and perhaps make improvements. Thank you for providing all the details you have so far.
-
Did you happen to grab diagnostics? From Cory's case, we have been able to make some drastic improvements. If you can share those, it would be highly valuable for the team to investigate.
-
rfackrell I believe that once you sign up and join the actually beta forum, a document will share what was included in this particular beta version.

And actually jbarr3tt I may be misunderstanding... with your configuration (If you have set the Time of Day section for 9-5) the behavior of the alert would be not to trigger outside of the designated hours. If you have a server go down at 7 AM, if that server is STILL down at 9, you would receive a notification. If that…
-
So what is configured under the Time of Day section? You likely need to remove the restriction on the Alert itself... Allow that to trigger at all times, but configure a schedule in your email action for the 9-5.

sja I do not believe the issue they are experiencing above is related to Juniper LAG interfaces. While the topology polling (no dependency on Network Atlas) and collection are NPMs component, the Maps team has provided some new options that I recommend you take a look at in the Maps Beta. This should be something I have…

foonly ebradford shuth dfairles rockgeek jamieinbox It sounds like the fix for the topology issues related to CDP that was intended to be included in the 2019.2 HF2 did not actually make it into the Hotfix release. I have been monitoring the support cases shared, and discussing with the NPM team who has been able to…
-
Hey rockgeek are you able to double-check the NPM Topology widget which should show all connections from a specific device? Anything with an interface showing on both sides would automatically be mapped. What a number of users are experiencing is in fact a bug with the topology data that should be addressed in Orion…
-
ebradford - can you take a look at the node details pages of the example nodes you have in your map? You should be able to find the NPM Topology Widget (default on the Network sub-tab). Are those showing connections you expect? As an example - Here I would see connections based on everything except for the ones in which…

uniswtc This is a fairly old thread so I wanted to double check with you. Are you seeing this from EOC or your remote Orion Instance? What version of EOC are you running? Have you created a ticket with support yet?

Take a look at Orion Maps! You can utilize ADM to find the relationships and incorporate the rest of the infrastructure, storage, and network along with it.
