@"jm_sysadmin" It actually does a lot. You should look it up on the ole Googles. @"jblankjblank" My real question is not are you making NetBrain since it does many things well but are we going to live auto mapping with Orion Maps 2.0 at all?

Please!

I second this and I have nodes that do not bust SLAs until 1000ms. I have adjusted them but for some reason, they still give critical at 500ms and it does no good for the top shop to see red when there is no issue.

I have seen this topic four times already and the fact that in an automated environment we don't have this is crazy. I know we have Firewalls and ACLs but those can all be built into a reachability test before the poller auto-balances or you could have a choice to hard-set a node to a poller so it never moves. Many of us…

Agree!

It does feel like a missing "nice to have" feature for SAM users.

@"jblankjblank" On an enhanced note. Is there a plan for Orion Maps 2.0 or later to automap? I am not saying be NetBrain but somewhat along that idea? Is this a feature request already or should I put that in?

Easy day, we have servers almost every where thers is a router. Thanks!

I have a test server that is not production. I was able to upgrade to 2020.2 and the upgrade went smooth. It is simply an fully licensed NPM "server" really a laptop running server 2016 with SQL 2016 on the same server but I only have about 200 nodes on it. The upgrade went fine (no errors) but I can not get modern…

Desperate need of this. I can't have admins managing 200+ maps when I have several hundred users that can make them. We need to be able to have a toggle button to allow users x, y, and z to edit maps.

Native please and BUMP!

Please post results, DONE!

@"jblankjblank" yes, again was not saying it needed to be Netbrain just that I like the dynamic maps function. I think you are saying there will be things to come and I see you pointed out next hop mapping which is a great start, but yes, NetBrain does some amazing things. Thanks for the write up and the time you took.

Nevermind. Upgraded to the latest Chrome and I am off an running!

You guys are awesome, this will help a lot! It does seem the probe can only be a server as they don't have probes for network devices? That is still a big help.

I have had the same issue but with NCM. It normally shakes out after the 10 min timer for the HA to fully be done but I have found that it is mostly in the internet browser cache. I found that if after 10 minutes the problem is not gone just simply closing the browser (yes, all tabs) and reopening will show everything…

For Orion Maps "you or another user with Node Management rights would have to perform something similar to the steps above in order to enable that functionality." is not a true statement in my enterprise and in the documentation is states only and admin can edit other user maps. I have users that have node and map…

I would disable them first and see what happens.

"My hope is to have this dynamic query find whenever someone installs SQL on a machine and automatically start watching it rather than having to define it through a custom property that people don't keep up on." So I am guessing I am missing what you are asking. I have a group created on a dynamic query %SQL% and it does…

Never mind, I see your solution at the bottom of your post and it worked for me.

Don't have an answer but I am following this because I am about to set up the same thing.

I know this is old but I wanted to get you thoughts on APE load balancing 5 on one site and 5 HA at another. Two different F5 pairs one at each site. We use NTA, NPM, NCM and SAM. I don’t want to use Samplicate as I want to keep the ports the same. Do I need to make a F5 pool for each service, ie..SNMP, ICMP, NetFlow and…

@"jblankjblank" Do we have a timeline for items such as thinner lines, the ability to uncheck pills in a certain line, the ability to simply connect two items with a dumb line that can be dotted or dashed? We have been using the new maps and like them but the listed items are really a requirement since we have some large…

Searching for this answer as well.

I have the same issue. Did you get a fix action?

Did you already have a Log and Event monitoring Database in 2019.4. If so you should just point it there. Have you checked SQL perms (is the SQL account approved to make Databases)? I assumed it would have mode it in the PPE setup and you said that went fine. Is the SQL account the same that you used on your PPE? Last, are…

SolarWinds was able to fix this without the need to upgrade.

Is the local firewall on the 2019 box off all the way and have you looked at the OU that server is in? Possibly not getting the same GP's like all your other servers? My first thought was HIPS/ePO but you said it was off.
