  • For any other folks that might be in this same predicament, please contact our support team. They will have the files and instructions for manually applying the service pack. HTH, Greg
  • In order to get IP addresses for the MACs found in the fowarding DB, we need a good layer 3 device that will have these MACs in the ARP table (the layer 3 device is the second device you select in the SwitchPortMapper.) Most of the issues I have worked with customers on have not had good layer 3 devices. We have not been…
  •  All - We have posted a hotfix for the TFTP server (paid) and a new version of the Free TFTP server which resolves the preceding slash issue. To download the Free TFTP Server, click here and select the Free TFTP Server. To download the the TFTP Server 9.2 Hotfix 2, click here, login, and select the hotfix. HTH, Greg
  • Alterego - can you give me some debugging information as requested in this thread? Thanks for your help, Greg
  • Richard - what occurs when you right mouse click a link? Does the Toolset Integration menu pop up, then nothing runs from the menu, or does the browser's context menu appear? Is the Orion site in the "Trusted" security zone, and ActiveX controls allowed? Keep in mind - the Toolset integration only works in IE... --Greg
  • OK - that explains it. The current SwitchPortMapper does not look for extended VLANs. We are looking to add that in the very near future. HTH, Greg
  • Paul - Email me and I will get you an updated file. --Greg
  • rmmagow - Sorry you feel that way. The Workspace Studio was developed as a response to those folks who felt all the classic tools were a little too disconnected. We are still making cool new tools, albeit in the Workspace Studio. It allows us to get new code out faster, as we don't need to rewrite/integrate/copy existing…
  • juanmotime - Well, 9.2 should have not been signed, and I was checking to see if a release somehow got out that was. All the testing I have done on 9.2 has been with aTFTP Server executable that is not signed. I hate to suggest it but, could you download the latest build and try that? Make sure you shutdown the TFTP server…
  • Ceclark – understood. What are you using for your tokens (certs, card/usb reader, ?) Also, check out the external tool section of the Workspace Studio, as it will allow you to configure it to launch external applications (like your preferred SSH Client) by dragging the device on to the shortcut, or right mouse clicking the…
  • R0berth1 - did you know you can (in the latest version, currently 10.4): * Get a full screen view of the tab area by pressing the F11 key? * You can detach the gadget so that is can run outside the Workspace Studio? * You can actually start a gadget in "detached" mode by command line?* "WorkspaceStudio.Exe <gadgetname>"…
  • Hey Swack - I got your files... unfortunately the ones sent are not what we needed. On Vista, look in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SolarWinds\Dashboard (some of these folders are hidden). The files I am looking are as shown in the pic: --Greg
  •  stegad - Sure. * In MIB Browser, select Edit... Find... * Search by OID * Enter 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2. * Once found, click the "Show in MIB Tree" button, then the "Done" button. * Click the select device button if you have not selected the device you want to query * Click the "Get Table" button That will download the IF table.…
  • cvonhassel - Not yet, but it will be fixed in the next release. HTH, Greg
  • Hari - Using a sniffer like Wireshark, capture the UDP port 161 traffic on the VPN interface (while attempting to download a config) and send it to me. --Greg
  • Interesting - I am unable to reproduce this. What happens when you turn off the 'rename existing files' switch and allow it to overwrite? Thanks, Greg
  • Alterego - Thanks, but I am going to have our QA folks do some more testing on it, if we can't reproduce it after that, I will send you a PM for the remote session. Thanks, Greg
  • We definitely plan on getting SNMPv3 support for the functionalities mentioned above; however, which apps and what version (of Toolset) are currently being determined. Would it be possible for you to prioritize the apps in order of importance from your points of view? Thanks, Greg

  • I checked out a packet capture a customer sent in yesterday (with the same issue), and it seemed the non-functioning switch would not respond with the bridge-MIB when using SNMPv1. Can you set the device setting for "use SNMPv1" = false in the Manage devices dialog, restart the Workspace Studio and try again? If you still…

  • Just to provide some clarity here - You can import devices from Orion into the Workspace Studio, just not into the Toolset NPM. To import to Workspace Studio, see this post. HTH, Greg
  •  cmcbride - I understand your frustration, and we are investigating... --Greg
  •  Dal - SPM does automatically add the @<VLANID> to the community string for each VLAN when it queries the switch. But SNMPv3 has no community string, as it uses a username, context, enc key, and auth key. SNMPv3, specifically the User Security Model, (USM) is a mechanism that provides authentication and encryption for SNMP…
  • Peter - Thanks for all your help on that! --Greg
  • dkokoszyna - Engineer's Toolset 9.2 is not supported on x64 systems. Engineer's V10 does, and will be releasing soon... HTH, Greg
  • Fluxeon - I have tried multiple ways as well, with no success... It seems Cisco is missing a command to group all the VLANs for a given context. You could upload and merge the needed lines using the Config Transfer gadget... :) HTH, Greg
  • That's alright, seeing as though we can't find your support ticket. When you are able to send it in, please reference the ticket number so we can keep everything together. Thanks!
  • d-moore - please try this. --Greg
  •  CMCJim - Give customer service a quick ring @ 866.530.8100, they should be able to reset your license for you. HTH, Greg
