Ok. I was asking if all your devices are showing the ${GlobalUsername} login failure in the ACS Failed Attempts report? (Or is it from just 1 or a few devices when the Nightly backup job runs?)
-
OK. It worked. It doesn't like the start time as any time in the past.
-
Is this the device that is failing in your ACS report? Or are all of your devices getting Authentication failed from NCM in ACS?
-
Thank you
-
It looks to go through successfully, but it does not unmanage the devices. I did you a time in the past as the start time. I guess I can try for a time in the future to see if it changes anything.

Thanks. That is definitely not what I wanted to hear. I need this as well. I guess I need to open a support ticket too.
-
You are further along than me. I have never had the issue NOT be there. I just want SolarWinds to report what the server is reporting the CPU utilization to be. I don't know why, but SolarWinds seems to always report higher. I have tried everything you have listed many times. AND as I was typing this, I look at it reports…
-
Did anyone get an answer to this from support? I don't want to have to open a ticket if this has already been answered.
-
-
Did anyone figure this out?
-
I tried this and it still doesn't work for me. It is frustrating.
-
When you disabled the integration, did you restart the services? Or at least flush the subscription table? I'm pretty sure that integration is there. Just a thought
-
Yes. They will! The change is only in IIS and not actually the SolarWinds application. The only changes that would possibly be needed would be if you created custom links to predefined http address. You would then have to change it to https. If you use the local help files, you would have to change that setting to https…

I am sure I am doing something stupid. Here is my script. What Am I missing tdanner? if (!(Get-PSSnapin -Name "SwisSnapin" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue)) { Add-PSSnapin SwisSnapin -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue } $start = '2017-02-21 12:00:00 AM' $end = '2017-02-23 12:00:00 AM' $Username = 'username@somewhere.com'…

I am having the same issue and I do not believe it to be a Microsoft issue. If I look at the CPU utilization of a many servers (I have looked at a 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 with 2-4 CPUs and 4-32 cores). In all instances, it looks like SolarWinds is reporting incorrectly. I can log into a server and look at the CPU…

Do you know what the next release is? What version are you using? NPM 10.6 is in RC2. I am getting ready to set this up after an upgrade and was wondering what release you were on.
-
I am also looking for this ability through NCM with the McAfee Enterprise Firewalls. Has there been any progress with this? I do not see a template anywhere for it. I am just looking to do configuration backups with NCM, not restoral.
-
ok. Thanks.
-
Did you ever get this resolved? Mine still do the exact same thing
-
Thanks. That is nice to know. I was just curious, but I appreciate you getting back to me. Looking at these numbers, my content has to be up there too. I have a custom NCM template that I shared that has 21147 views. Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) File Transfer NCM Template

Diner is correct. It goes top down even if you put a read-only group on top. Permissions are NOT additive. The user will get only read-only permissions, as it will never get to the admin group. SolarWinds only users 1 group at a time for permissions (the top most group that the user is a member of).
-
On the web interface, you may check Configure > Security > Management ACL that you don't have something there that block ssh from the NCM box. And in NCM, make sure you have an enable password set. But as branfarm said, the trace is the place to start.
-
Thanks Jiri. I thought so. It would be very beneficial to have this capability.
-
I agree and I might add that it is a constantly growing platform. If the capability is not available, it is up to us (Thwack and SolarWinds customers) to voice the limitation or feature request. SolarWinds doesn't know what we want or need without us voicing it and they have given us Thwack as a means to do so. I have seen…

OK thanks. I changed it to that. I was having an issue before, but it was because I had a : in front of \S+ and it wasn't working. I see what you are saying. I appreciate all your help.
-
There is a way to do this now, but it will take some configuration and is not ideal. It is more of a workaround. You can do this based on alerting. Create an alert that alerts based off the custom property trigger.
-
Not entirely correct. You can poll the C series blades using UDPs. I have put a couple out on thwack. You have to know what you want to poll for
-
Is there going to be anything coming out for this soon or is there a custom resource to do this somewhere? Please someone point me in the right direction. I really need the ability to group storage objects by location and custom property. I can't believe this isn't in there yet.
-
This is correct. Everything that you stated above can easily be done and you will not need to update the DB as was stated. The certificates will need to be installed and the bindings will need to be set as well as deleting the port 80 binding (after you confirm SSL is working). Or you can configure the redirect.
